Happy Belated 30th Anniversary to NASCAR Racing 1994!! I actually STILL HAVE my original copy of this game, which has been in my family's household ever since my family got Windows 95 in 1995 or 1996 (I just realized my error). My older brother Stephen and I used to play the hell out of NASCAR Racing!!! Better yet, I actually STILL CAN play my OG copy of NASCAR Racing with DosBox! In addition to revisiting NASCAR Racing, I actually watched the 1994 NASCAR Season on TH-cam for its 30th Anniversary, using the original race schedule as a guide to know when to watch each race replay on TH-cam, taking advantage of the free availability of all the NASCAR races on TH-cam. 1994 was Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s 7th Overall Championship season, and Jeff Gordon made his first 2 Winston Cup victories that year: 1994 Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte on May 29, 1994 and the very first victory of the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis on August 6, 1994. Rest in Peace Dale Earnhardt Sr (1951-2001), you are truly missed!

That's incredible, I had no idea it was this accurate! Despite feeling slow, it's actually spot on. Did you slow down the tv footage at all? I suspect you didn't.

Oh boy, the video resolution looks like 120p and weirdly has engine sound from it's prequel - F1GP. Still a nice find, thanks for uploading.

This game really was ahead of it's time, nothing came close. Until Indycar 1.

The replays are odd, no doppler shift! Which I remember was a problem in the first Ride game - I expect Milestone used this game as a basis.

Also, this preview looks like it's from an early build of NASCAR Racing, considering that the cars in the game are shown with wheels that were recycled from IndyCar Racing. In this case, the IndyCar Racing wheels were used as a placeholder for the final wheels.

It would be incredible if the Xbox version would be available somewhere, whereever. With the Xbox emulation projects nowadays, the GP4 Xbox version would be thé version which is easiest compatible with modern systems.

My favorite car in GPL as well, because of the design and the engine sound. But with a couple of tries , Im getting better lap times with Eagle and Lotus at Kialami. Maybe is something about my driving style, or maybe my setup

Best version of Imola. I don't know why they got rid of the chicanes at the end of the lap, not the one before Acque Minerali.

I miss Champ Car so much. They were so fun to watch every weekend. The cars sounded awesome and looked beautiful. Especially the way the Lolas and Panoz chassis.

A normal car brake pedal has a little bit of free play then when that is taken up pressure should quickly build up as the pedal is depressed. The pedal should then end up rock solid which the standard Thrustmaster spring system allows but after way too much travel.

Im actually playing this track at the moment but I've got the F1GP editor working and have the speed correction patch active. Im using 1989 data also. I keep getting destroyed by the computer drivers, couldn't qualify any better than last and i was averaging similar times to yourself 🤦🤷

I recently reinstalled the game an still enjoy it. It might not have the graphics of an F124 but it is so much more fun. The deeper you dive into this game the more gold you find. Such a classic. Geoff, if you're out there... please come back to F1 Sims.

This was such an interesting time, and decades later, so much advancement, and yet somethings seem to be stuck on repeat. Realizing as time goes on that history is far more important than most can comprehend.
