Damn, that’s unfortunate. Seems like a problem with the connection. Hopefully they can get you another one soon or you find another one that does work for you. It’s a rather nice lens for such a low cost.

It’s good for the price point. The only real negative side to this lens is the sound it makes when focusing.

I think it might struggle a little bit because the autofocus isn’t the fastest. It sometimes has a really hard time finding focus.

Honestly only used it a few times for video. Wouldn’t recommend. There’s not stabilization unfortunately

tbh.. this is just back roads and no one really goes that way. I'd always slow down a lot just to make sure it was safe before continuing. But yeah you are right lol Probably should be stopping for safety!

I’d recommend either trying to find a used Sony a7ii or a canon 80d. I’ve had both and both were amazing cameras. Probably lean more towards the 80d if you can find a good deal on one. As for lens you can get some great shots out of a relatively cheap 50mm good for low light and great looking bokeh. If you want cheaper maybe find a 24mm or 35mm lens from Amazon. @@JOHNDAVINCI those cameras are way out of my range now days. I picked up a SL3 paired with a 50mm 1.8 and must say, you are spot on with the 50mm. I really like it. For the price it’s a great auto focus lens. If you can stand manual focus there are way better options in my opinion.

Without seeing your settings exactly it I hard to tell. Make sure you’re in manual mode to make sure the lens is working properly. If it won’t stay in 1.8. I’d send it back and get another one. Let me know if that works

You may need a ND filter.

Yeah wide open it struggles and I believe that’s the issue I talked about with the blades doing a weird shudder before it actually shoots. I’ve had a few weird things with the lens, but honesty for the price I’m still very happy with it.

Using the Canon Rp

It will work with the t6i. I had a friend with a t6s and it worked fine. Just make sure you get the one for canon. I believe the link in description will bring you to the correct one.
