Next stands for the National Exit Test. For MBBS candidates, it will be a single window exit exam that will replace NEET-PG, INI-CET & MCI Screening Exams. For BDS students, according to news on July 24th, 2023, The Government is introducing the National Dental Commission Bill in Lok Sabha, which aims to make dental education affordable. So, currently, there is no confirmation on the conduction of any NExT exam for BDS students according to the gazette by DCI(BDS course regulations). But, it may come into implementation in the coming academic years based on the passing of the bill.

. The dental colleges in India are categorized as govt, private ,deemed or central universities. Also the pvt. Colleges have some seats reserved as government quota seats however to get into any dental college you are required to write and qualify the Neet-UG examination. The fee structure differs in these colleges and you can check their respective websites to know more.

The age group attended by pedodontists generally ranges from 0-14years and by this period third molar wll not have erupted so impactions are generally not done but however in certain cases which may require removal of other impacted teeth apart from third molar in children it may be done for eg. interdisciplinary procedures with orthodontics or oral surgery.
