Yes you can do audio-reactive visuals with free version of touchdesigner. Resolution is limited to max 1280x1280 pixels with non-commercial key.

Thanks! Yes this is based on Bileam Tschepe tutorial about pixel sorting. I think you should try that. The end result then depends on source clip. Thanx for your comment. It is obviously choice of style. Wanted also create tension, not moving the head etc. It is 3d model with lights, in Touchdesigner. So it is not 2d. . Did you watch the whole clip?
