as the sun rose of fort sumter, it revealed to the nation how utterly in shambles it was. this meant civil war between the confederacy and the union. as the war raged on like the rest of history how it plays out, there was one young man who was conscripted to the union army. his name was seterra. he was actually excited for battle due to him believing that it’ll be a great adventure, one like the american revolution. but once he survived his first battle, he was horrified to see the killings that have occurred and nothing like he ever would’ve thought. battle after battle, victory after loss, he kept surviving and saw the gruesome bitterness in war and had no hope in humanity. so he ran away and defected to the confederate army to get a taste of what it was like on the enemy side. it wasn’t much different. it wasn’t too long before he realized that the only way to end this was to take power himself and not let abraham lincoln and jefferson davis decide how to end this madness. in 1864, seterra headed inside the white house and confronted abraham lincoln in secrecy. he demanded to lincoln to allow himself to gain all power but only shall the president know his existence and his power as himself will really be in control behind the scenes. but before lincoln could respond, seterra also threatened the president’s life and everybody else’s if he didn’t make the choice in his favor. with no other choice lincoln agreed. so it was really seterra who ended the american civil war. and only the president knew about it. but the secret died with him on april 15, 1865…. so seterra told andrew johnson and the vice president about his role in history. so from there on out the president and the vice president would only know about seterra’s existence. to ensure he would stay forever, seterra invoked an ancient native american power to allow him to never die by age in 1889. but one day in 2024, a person named bikr was going through some encrypted tapes of past presidents. when bikr decrypted them he found out everything about seterra. so for 8 months bikr planned and plotted on how to defeat seterra to stop this madness. in 2025 bikr was ready and reached the classified room keeping seterra in the white house via the underground. bikr found seterra in a state of digitalization, corrupt with power over the course of 161 years. seterra was hooked to all kinds of wires taking up more and more information. taking advantage of seterra’s distraction in the arts of the internet, bikr drew the first blow with his machete into seterra’s left shoulder. this sent the madman back into reality, so seterra pulled the machete out of his shoulder and flung it across the room. seterra gave bikr a punch to the stomach and uppercutting bikr with his knee which forced him onto the ground. when bikr got back up he swiped seterra’s legs and bikr picked up a pc and smashed it onto seterra’s head. seterra used the broken pieces of the pc to wound bikr and in the process, got up and broke a leg off of a chair and rammed it into bikr’s neck which then bikr was thrown up against the wall. as seterra was quickly choking him out, bikr noticed the machete still on the ground, managed to pick it up, and said a cool catchphrase before stabbing seterra in the center of his body. seterra dropped to the ground and said to him that bikr freed him from this corruption and pain before he died. bikr came out of white house at first an enemy of the secret service. but after realizing what he did, bikr was awarded the medal of the nation (the new highest honor for civilians that was created after bikr’s heroic victory) from the president himself. with abraham lincoln, smiling, from the heavens above

simple lore - the united states grew at its regular pace but over time, people of the country started to get upset on how there were many state borders separating them from other people despite them living in the same region. so the us government divided the nation into 5 states in 1853. kentucky owning the south, nevada owning the west, nebraska owning the middle, indiana owning the north, and finally the biggest of them all… new jersey owning the east. And the united states didn’t avoid a civil war but the south still lost and the usa continued to live normally. (alaska and hawaii became part of the west when they were annexed)

lore time: our history begins when we first fought off the british from the original 13 colonies, though shortly after we divided them up to have a state in each direction (example: west, south, north, and east virginia), one we did so we start expanding our influence to the west as we divided the louisiana territory into 700 small little boxes biggest people kept complaining how their state wasn’t big enough in 1803, then we burned london down during the war of 1812, took canada away from them, which inspired the british to expand faster into new areas and already owned areas around the globe, colonies like british raj, british south africa, and british australia expanded much quicker than normal, and the british took places like the southern tip of south america, the rest of africa, and southeast asia. when mexico gained independence in 1821, a few months later in 1822 the us invaded mexico as it had gained central america, therefore eliminating the banana wars and the mexican-american war. when the us had moved fully west, they divided their territories to the point they had 1,092 states in just that one area of the country. but when the pig war began, the us took the opportunity to escalate the war and defeat the british empire, taking all their overseas colonies and establishing 3,000 states in total. but the quest for 5,000 was not over, as the american civil war started, the south which included most of the dead mexico and central america was crushed, dividing the states that seceded into even more smaller states, eventually, the us had taken advantage of the many wars in south america and took half the continent, took cuba, the philippines, guam, and puerto rico in 1898, and when world war 1 came around, the us joined to crush the german empire and austria-hungary therefore gaining more land in europe and claiming the title of 5,000 states

ah yes, 500 US states, i do love recalling the time we took canada in the war of 1812 and then annexed the entirety of mexico in 1848, split the states who seceded from us into tinier states after the american civil war, made indian reserves into their own states, made cuba, the philippines, guam, and puerto rico their own states after the spanish-american war, invaded central america during the banana wars, made the island of hispaniola into many different states, split up the philippines into 100 states in 1935, bought greenland in 1946, annexed japan in 1952, annexed iraq in february 1991 which started our overseas empire, annex edsiberia after the ussr fell in december 1991, and finally took over all of afghanistan in 2021 and made them all smaller states. god bless america

Although that would make an interesting multimedia conceptual art project (RE: In each state, there could be 100 different communities that "feel" like a different state, in cultural, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and other terms....). Professional and student artists do this all the time. Something to think about. :)
