Any buyer would be an improvement over the a**hole old man and his man servant who run that hole. The guy on this video keeps rambling about respecting this place. How about that creepy old man in the store start respecting people who go in to spend money. Check the Yelp reviews. People hate that guy.
Warren G is Dr Dre Half Brother Same Father, Different Mother
NWA is like a fever dream with the founders of rap
I’m definitely subscribing to your channel and I hope to see more interesting content like this, mate. I love this album and I think those early Pink Floyd days tend to be very underrated by most. Thanks for the video, Adam!
Super interesting, thanks Adam!
Thanks. So true. Denis Payton with sax and Mike Smith, lead singer and organist, both brought a totally unique sound to the band. Many of the deeper cuts on albums allowed the sax to be even more prominent.
Now wait a minute Babalooie, Danny Gatton.
Punk then metal then hip hop they all have one thing in common you can head bang to all three.
A LOT of older country musicians could play dang near anything.
The Beatles thought of the Beach Boys as their American equivalent. They respected Wilson’s genius, as well as the impeccable harmonies. That’s pretty high praise; the BBs weren’t fluff.
Great list
Music became another way to dunb us down. The really talented musicians and singers were ignored. Sell your soul to the devil and you did really well.
Correction; Disney girls was Bruce J.
One of my favourite albums of all time 🏄♂️
Rare Earth made a version of The Temptations “Get Ready”, produced by Smokey Robinson even before
I do realise that Bob, Malcolm, and Stevie had split ways by then, but it should be mentioned that both *Songs in the Key of Life* and *The Secret Life of Plants* featured a few of the remaining compositions that the trio had recorded over those four years.
I'm disappointed that you didn't play the song...
Great video. You are right, Egyptian Lover was the guy that everybody else copied back then. Listen to I just Love My Beat by Sir Mix-A-Lot . Dre, Wreckin Cru, Arabian Prince, even a couple NWA tracks nod to his style, those and others were all going off of what Greg was doing. Also his production style was on another level compared with everything else. Little details beyond beats and melodies put his work on another level. He deserves a lot more credit than he gets. It was actually his song, Computer Love, that I heard in 1984, that made me want to make electronic music, which I still do today. I'm glad he's still around. Thanks for the video!
r.i.p Eazy-E the only and truly godfather of gangster rap
So true, so underrated. I missed this kind of music. Ofcourse there are also songs as the final trust which are awful. But overall a great band. .
Definitely one singer to learn and study. Virtuoso level vocalist.
NWA all day every day!!
Tempest was amazing! Those licks that he played on that album are the only Holdsworth licks I can actually cop lol.
The days when you sat down and listened to an album in its entirety.
Please you have recognised this brilliant group in a league of their own
U.K is a fantastic band
Was an MTV kid so "She's a Beauty" was where my knowledge began, and ended. Two years ago I saw the infamous vintage live performance of "White Punks on Dope". I think TH-cam was on auto-play and it just popped up. Had a good laugh when I saw the high heels and walked out of the room while it played on. When they got to the bridge I was back in my seat, glued to the screen. Probably played it a dozen times that day. Although it was clearly the Tubes it had me thinking "Who the f@ck are these guys?". Guest I joined the cult that day :)
Genius guitar player. Saw him in Newcastle, UK, around 2010, with Chad Wackerman on drums.
I have loved the moody blues since I was a kid,my always played this is the moody blues albums on tape which was a best of ,and then I listened to the rest of their albums especially the golden 7 from 1967-1972.
A very long list of legendary guitarists who said Holdsworth was absolutely top tier and praised him to the hilt includes Metheny George Benson Santana Connors Malmsteen Stern, those great guitarists who specifically say Holdsworth 🐐.. McLaughlin Zappa Shawn Lane Vai Gary Moore Satriani Mcalpine Garsed EVH Gambale Schon Petrucci Lukather Morse Reid Lifeson Thordendal Jeff Watson Skolnick Kotzen Poland Becker.... yeah so there's a pretty good chance he is the 🐐 from those sterling recommendations
Fripp didn't invent it. Eno introduced it to him the very night the first side was recorded.
moved to Melrose in 1999
Good video.
Great video. Agreed.
The moment (0:40) you referred to Tonto's 'Exploding' Head Band, you lost all credibility and the video became unwatchable. I left. Sorry.
Evening Star is even more brilliant!
It IS a GREAT album
Thank you for letting us know about Ed's passing. Very sad. Frank was blessed to have Ed and Ruth as his percussionists.
The only song that they had that I liked was Nights on Broadway
A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E-L-Y - I couldn't agree with you more. Mr. Wright never gets enough credit, mainly because Waters keeps insisting he wrote all the songs. I don't care who you are, you can come up with a concept (and Waters is great when it comes to that) but each member 'wrote' their instrument's contribution. Can you see either Waters or Gilmour sitting down and writing each note of the keyboard? I'm sorry, but in my opinion you don't have Pink Floyd without Wright. Nick was constant, Roger was demanding, David was passionate...and Rick was the glue.
I bought a tape with No Pussyfooting and Evening Star many years ago. I still have it and it still sounds great. This music helped me relax (take a nap) during a period when I was going through a divorce. I have since gotten the Live recording of their tour from Paris I think, which is very cool. Love Eno and am a big Fripp fan as well.
Great work as always!
I had this album and the follow up Evening Star back in my roommate days (lost/ stolen). I also had the Essential Frpp & Eno which featured both albums as well as a 90's collaboration "Healthy Colours I - IV". Fripp also used "Heavenly Music" as walk on music for 1973-74 live Crimson shows, titled "Some Pussyfooting" on live albums.
They produced at least 2 albums before Bee Gees 1st album. Rare Precious and Beautiful Vol 1 and Vol 2
I have actually listened to this album complete both sides, twice!
The Chance of Love from the Cucumber Castle album is an absolute masterpiece without influences totally original and beautiful like a lot of their songs from the early 70s so-called wilderness period. I believe this period of their music could one day be as big as their disco.
Are Brian & Robert doing coke on that table?
No. Not sure about Eno but Fripp has never touched drugs, not even of any kind. Cheers!
Well they actually had 2 records in Australia before 1967 ...British people like to ignore that even tho you feature 2 of the original Aussie members in your thumbnail 😅
Brilliant album. And there was nothing else like it in pop/rock. T. Riley. Poppy No Good, same ideas of sound on sound.
The special sound of the Herman's Hermits, I think it was the guy with the glasses. We was a pretty good guitar player. Remember watching them on TV as a kid. They were always good. As usual for the time, I remember my dad getting hung up on not understanding the lyrics, especially sung with a lot of ' Cockney '
