    i do hope that this animation exaggerates the tiny size of the new stomach, because that's... very, very small. i'd really worry about making it too small, because that looks like a capacity of about a cup

    I came within 18 hours of chemical castration (aka ADT, which they euphemistically like to call "hormone therapy") which is typically done in conjunction with external beam radiation. Neither my urologist nor my radiation oncologist ever suggested that avoiding chemical castration via brachytherapy might be an option. Via lots of research, I cancelled the hormone shot and now am scheduled for HDR brachytherapy. Luckily for me, my caner is small enough and localized enough that this has a good chance of being a successful monotherapy. For those out there who have been told they need external beam radiation with hormone suppression, I urge you to investigate the long term effects of chemical castration..... from what I can tell, you will never be the same. Logically, brachytherapy (either low dose permanent seeds which deliver a higher dose in the long run, or high dose which is a quick but very strong 2-session exposure) makes a lot of sense as it delivers radiation most directly to the location of the cancer. There are also side effects to brachytherapy, of course. These include urinary problems (relatively short term) but these side effects PALE in comparison to chemical castration. PLEASE do your own research and do NOT just accept what the first doc says. A doctor is very likely to recommend the thing that they are specialized in, be it surgery, external beam radiation with chemical castration, or brachytherapy. This is not like being treated for a broken leg where the solution is a no-brainer.... YOU MUST DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.

    Do You Know Of Anyone Who Is Struggling With Cancer? Here Is My Cancer Story! I am Tolbert Earl Wyatt and I am currently seventy-four years of age (03/13/1946). I’m military retired veteran of twenty two years with a combat tour in Vietnam. In June of 2007 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and at that time the doctor told me that the cancer was benign and slow growing. The doctor informed me that I could seek treatment or select the “watch and wait” method. I chose the “watch and wait” method and to be examined every six months. After being examined in March of 2015, I was informed by the doctor that my prostate cancer was growing and I needed to seek treatment before it spread to my bones and other parts of my body. So I chose the treatments of internal and external radiation to rid my body of the cancer. In April of 2015, I was treated with external radiation and in August of 2015 I was treated with internal radiation seed implants to stop the cancer. In March of 2016 after examination, I was informed by the doctor that my PSA had a low score and the cancer could possibly be in remission. I was informed to continue to be examined every six months. In March of 2017, my PSA score started to rise and my cancer came back with a vengeance. My doctor treated with me with Lupron shot in my stomach every three months to kill the hormones feeding the cancer. The Lupron shots did not work and the prostate cancer continued to spread. My prostate was swollen to the point that I could barely urinate through my penis and my left side kidney started to malfunction in 2018. Through an incision in my left side back area they installed a tube attached to a plastic bag that is strapped to my left leg, so that I can urinate. Meanwhile, my prostate continues to give me problems like lower stomach and back pain. In December of 2019, my right side kidney started to malfunction and I was informed that I would also need a tube and urination bag installed to my right side kidney. In the year 2020, I was in and out the hospital several times because of problems with the prostate cancer, such as lower back and stomach pain, high blood pressure, high and low blood sugar, constipation and other health issues! In October of 2020, a friend told me about a herbal supplement called “Hemo Him and that it was widely known to help people with any type of cancer, to include aiding in cancer prevention. He told me that the Hemo Him also works to boost the immune system by a process called “stem cell regeneration”. My friend also informed me that Hemo Him was approved by the FDA in the US the KFDA in South Korea also has patents in the US, South Korea, France, Italy and the UK. I started taking the Hemo Him on October 11, 2020 and after about one week, I was feeling better, stronger and not constipated any more. I just finished taking Chemotherapy treatments and the Hemo Him has helped me withstand the side effects of the Chemo. I now have a better smooth bowel movement and I am feeling better everyday. I strongly recommend that everyone reading this message, start taking Hemo Him today for the prevention of cancer, because it works. Don’t wait until you get cancer as I did (An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure). IN OTHER WORDS, THE CURE FOR CANCER IS PREVENTION! I have discovered that all cancers are the same. The only reason doctors use different names is to instil maximum fear so you will buy the poison they prescribe. I have also discovered that Chemo does more harm than good. Rational people will not poison themselves so they use fear to overcome your rationale. It's just business and has nothing to do with your health and everything to do with your money. Many doctors have no idea how the body works and have never been trained how the body work. The body is designed to heal itself when we give it what it needs and you won't see that in any medical book. Personally I think it's common sense but I'm not here to challenge your intellect. I've come here to tell you what is working for me and that is Hemo Him

    Radiation therapy after prostatectomy have side effects and damages already spared nerves. Lower abdominal discomfort and urge urination. Unlike what Doctors tell patients, no prostate treatment is good and without any side effects

    • @benlllkenn7348
      @benlllkenn7348 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, this prostate treatment is as uncertain as winning the lottery. Few doctors agree on which treatment is best, even when the diagnosis are similar you risk over treatment. 10 years ago I was being prep for a prostatectomy, I rejected that approach. Today 10 years on and different doctors I'm now receiving hormone treatment and no significant issues. I realize that this may not fit many of you, but taking charge of your care should be guided by your gut and not fear. I read this on a Japanese blog: The prostate is like a baby, let it sleep.

    Well, I would like to point out here that stereotyping and discrimination has a great impact when it comes to “doctors must advocate for male staff in the clinic or hospitals. Years ago my nephew took up nursing course, when his friend found out about it, their first reaction was what? Are you gay?. And when he graduated and started working in a hospital, he was ridiculed by patients and other people in the hospital, aside from telling him that he should be a doctor qnd not a nurse, he was being bullied at work by other male non nursing employees. When time he was working in an ob-gyn ward, and most husbands of the patients were shocked and unhappy to find out that he is the assigned nurse for the newly became mothers. So my poor nephew left that ob gyn specialty and transfered to operating room urology specialty, take note... urology. All the urologists are men (of course, this is a male dominated specialty). Mind you, I was shocked when he told me that most of the doctors there are friendlier to the female staff working in that specialty. They even dont care if a female staff do the prepping of the genitals prior to cystoscopy and other urology procedures even though he was there to do it. All these stereotyping, discrimination and some other bullshits really gets to my nerves, and yet when there is a very big patient and these idiot female staff and doctors needs help to lift the patient guess who do you think they call first..... my poor nephew. So enough of these “advocate advocate for male staff@. I hope you get the picture.

    Is this a dangerous procedure?

  • @sj505
    @sj505 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    It would make it much easier for men if Doctors would advocate for them to have men doing private area care. Many men put off seeing the doctor because they are so often expected to strip down with women present. Surgeries, xray treatment, office visits with women in with them. Many of my friends refuse to go for treatment due to this. They feel they are looked down upon when they don't want female cnas, xray techs, scrub techs and even nurses in for private area needs. Please doctors advocate for men and get men to do these procedures. More men would go to the doctor before it is to late if they have the choice for same gender teams.

    • @sj505
      @sj505 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      PoisoningOrchid Typical response. Not your bodies though are they and people do care. Men especially feel they cant say how they feel for fear of ridicule and humiliation. Men want same gender teams where intimate areas are involved just as women do. So go out and recruit more men for these procedures. And why aren't women's breast covered. Mine would be or else.

      You can ask doctors all you want but most of them always offer procedures that are not needed. Many times its about your insurance money. Men can make a request of the surgery scheduling department to have an all mske staff for procedures. Why not? They do it for females everyday.

    My elderly father takes 9 different pills twice a day, plus two inhalers. I have loaded the machine twice, once for 10 days, once for 3 weeks. Directions are easy to follow. It did jam a few days in and I did pry it open with a butter knife. One cup had two tops which caused the jam. My error. That will never happen again. Dad doesn’t miss doses any more. And he’s using his inhalers with the scheduled reminders. The machine called me once to say his power was out. That was a GREAT help. Absolutely worthwhile product.
