Horizon Day Camp - Metro DC has changed its name to Sunrise Day Camp - Greater Washington. This change leverages the heritage branding of Sunrise Association from which the camp grew. The Sunrise brand has international recognition through its record number of camps (12 in-person, including three in Israel, and one virtual camp) and record number of campers in 2024 (more than 2,300). Sunrise on Wheels (in-hospital camp activities for kids undergoing treatment) has 74 weekly programs in 39 hospitals; Wheels Up!, an online experience, is available in 5 countries, and Sunrise Association’s Virtual Reality pilot (Virtual Adventures) has met with resounding praise and excitement in the two hospitals where it is being tested.
