Smelled exactly like jackfruit. Immediately had to do a double take. Why does the garbage smell like jackfruit? It got me thinking. Very well might just be that people in different countries associate the same smells with different objects (and that influences their perception of the smell). I associate the smell of durian with, well, durian. But if some other guy was from a place where garbage literally smelt like durians, suddenly it becomes a little easier to imagine why they wouldn't be open to eating it.
