Hi, a longtime BMW rider from Tennessee here. Thanks for the great video! I've only been through, maybe I should say across, Vermont 4 times, all on US Route 4. Twice east to west, twice west to east. Was last through there in Sept. '24 on my way back from a BMW rally in Fryeburg, Maine. Love your state and now that I'm retired wanting to do some exploring there. I appreciate your video, definitely want to ride all the way up state 100 and check out Stowe along the way. Howdy fellow Vt rider! Been out this season yet? McCullough Turnpike is ROUGH. I sure hope they do some work on it this Summer. Mt Washington toll road is on my to-do list this Summer, for sure. And of course the Kanc to get there. Cheers!

Nice trail and good job filming and narrating. At the end, when you show the loop that you rode,you should include miles ridden.

How much is the toll to drive up there?

Looks like about 8 inches of snow. Not sure when the 2 to 3 feet come into play.

what are the rules and regulation I have sxs and wanna bring mine up north. is a special permit or registration needed or license ?

Do you know what ATV club maintains that trail loop you’re on? The one I ride is the borderline ridge riders which is in the Newport area. I would love to find that trail you were on and explore over there. The vasa map shows lots more trail loops, but I’ve only tried mine so far.

grew up in bristol, man i remember the gaps.

I remember when they opened the bmx track years ago , me and my buddies used to ride it when the workers quit for the day back when they were still building it.

My house is at Willoughby,so my start point unless I trailer is at the end of the lake

How much of the road was unpaved? Seems more of it was dirt in 1982 when we last took the auto road to the summit.

How many months you can ride in Vermont?

Table rock… did that with my family. Just be careful there is a “easy” trail which is def easy but we mad the mistake of going up the trail that was a very steep and it’s referred to as a scramble trail. We had our 2 youngest daughters with us, 3 and 9.

We have a trip in August to do the NEBDR. We are riding all through your are then back to Burlington. You should join for a bit.

While in Vermont, I avoided snow covered roads, so this is a treat. These are scenes one would never see otherwise.

I went out driving often during my 15 years in Middlebury and loved the scenery. This is one trip I didn’t take, so it is great to see it now.

Wow. I recognize several of the scenes you ride through. And those I don’t exactly remember look like one I do. Well done!

I taught at Middlebury College from 2000 to 2015 and spent many hours driving around the state. This ride revives many memories!
