Sorry for the late reply I got a new phone and notifications were turned off, it’s just the lanyard that came with it but I drilled a small hole in the shaft stem and looped it through.

I switch between Beach P and Beach Sensitive, I keep salt sensitivity at 7 and adjust overall sensitivity to 89 to 92 when in the water. Each beach is different so adjust accordingly. Also, I use a threshold of around 16. Auto ground tracking is turned on. Thanks for watching. 👍🫡

No worries, I'm not getting rid of the Deus. I got the Manticore because of the price drop. I didn't even want it but now that I have it I figured I should give it a try. I'm more of a water hunter and which ever one is best in the water is what I will eventually stick with. Right now I prefer the Deus but things can change. 👍

East Coast, Georgia. I don't know who makes them, but they are dangerous. I hate these weights. I would put these in my bathing suit pocket but got tired of these things poking me, so I had to start using a finds bag to put them in.

Those are Sputnik weights, and meant for beach/surf fishing anywhere with heavy current and a sandy bottom. Shouldn't ever lose those unless you use it where you shouldn't or a fish breaks you off 😅

So, what’s the solution?

There is a $300 fine for bringing glass onto the beach here, it's pretty effective in keeping the beach safe from broken glass (beer) bottles.

Unfortunately what you don't see in the video is Kerry is kicking my butt with the Manticore. He is digging about 8 targets to every 1 of mine. He even had a couple of really deep targets that he let me try to detect and they were just whispers on the Deus. I've made some changes to my settings and I am going to try those out hopefully this weekend to see if I can get deeper signals. 👍
