Bolt protector for the G E Racer, made by Lowey Products of Australia (www.loweyproducts.com/). The standout feature of this product is that it de-cocks the firing spring. This not only protects the spring, but also securely locks the bolt inside the protector sleeve. Pretty neat and highly recommended! i find the pduction lots from 19 onwards absiolutely fantastic on my tanner. not far off from match-training ammunition from ruag. for the price of 35 cents unbealivable.

    This is impressive shooting. I shoot long range target rifle using 308 win hand loads. I occasionally get to shoot 300m and putting 10 consecutive shots in the 10 ring is not easy. If you ever need a new barrel perhaps consider Benchmark from the USA. The current World champion long range team and individual long range World Champions all use them. They don’t have special select barrels, everything they sell is of the highest quality. ( I am not connected with them in any way,just a fan of their barrels)

      300-meter shooting. Though in this particular instance the 300m target is scaled down for shooting at 100 yards. Same level of difficulty sans wind.

    Hi! Great shooting! What is your opinion on this rifle? They are pretty expensive, it's worth the money? How is the barrel quality compared with custom manifactured one from the big names in the business like Krieger, Bartlein, Lilja, LW...? An answer from you sir will be much appreciated!

    • @gunsnslings
      @gunsnslings ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, G+E makes their own barrels using the cut-rifling process so the barrel quality is outstanding. The rifle action has a unique bedding system that achieves both consistency of contact as well as interchangeability of stocks. These rifles are capable of 1/2 MOA using **factory** ammo. So they are very accurate, much more so than the shooter! That said, these guns are really designed for European style 300-meter competition. If you do 300m you can't do wrong with one; it comes competition-ready out of the box and allows you to focus on the shooting. However, if you have other needs like F-class, PRS, or benchrest, a custom rifle with a custom action/barrel is more suitable.

    • @adminmod7837
      @adminmod7837 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gunsnslings Thank you very much for answering! I was thinking instead of making a custom built rifle just mount a good scope and bipod, probably still will be good up to 1000 yards, let say in 6.5x47 Lapua.. Only for sport purpose.

    • @gunsnslings
      @gunsnslings ปีที่แล้ว

      @@adminmod7837 these guns aren't ideal for 1000 yards since they are optimized for 300m. G+E might be able to do something custom for you in terms of chamber/twist rate but they don't have much experience at these distances so you might get unpredictable results.

    • @adminmod7837
      @adminmod7837 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gunsnslings I get it. My point was since 6.5 Lapua is rated for 300-1000 meters shooting and was created with collaboration with G+E they might be up to something... Anyway if G+E can't do the job, others can. Thank you very much!

    Hejj nice that you had the chance to test the 7.5 by 55. I myself shoot 300m prone here in switzerland with this round aswell. The 7.5x55 is tremendous accurate for what it was designed for. However these were really great 10 shots. i usually get around 96 or 97P. I Use a relatively new Tanner Phönix rifle.Which is a nice hybrid from Wood and Aluminium.

      Thank you for the comments! I shoot with the Los Angeles Swiss Athletic Society which competes by Swiss rules and participates in Swiss matches postally. I went with the club to Switzerland for the EFS 2015 and we participated in EFS 2022 by mail due to COVID. The Tanners are great guns! Several of our club members use them also. I used to have this gun in G+E's aluminum stock but switched back to the walnut stock which I find to be more comfortable.

    Your cheekpiece is too low. Raise it up a little you keep adjusting and raising your head to look through the sights. And why is your cheekpiece so loose? it keeps coming out...

    • @gunsnslings
      @gunsnslings 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I absolutely was not raising my head to look through the sights. This cheekpiece is designed to lift up to create clearance for the retracted bolt. This cheekpiece was designed for centerfire rifles which have long bolts. I was using it on a smallbore rifle because at the time, I was very forward on the rifle.

    @dvnacouzi94. You are the idiot. They are not pointing he guns at anyone's face. Anyone with more brain waves than a toad would figure out instantly that it's just a matter of viewing angle. Safety is a very high priority in high power shooting. These are some of the most respectful, well adjusted kids I've ever met. They are taught from the start to take responsibility for their own safety and that of others. They would not be on the team otherwise.

    @Lichlord The first shot after dropping into position and changing magazine requires more than one breath to settle down, but for subsequent shots, one breath is more than enough. If you are shooting prematurely, it isn't so much due to lack of oxygen, as to problems in mental management.

  • @Lichlord
    @Lichlord 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    Its really easy to watch the breathing of the prone shooter at 6:00. Do most shooters take only one breath between shots like he did? I'm skeptical of shooting on a cadence because it seems you may make shots prematurely.
