Love your recipe and method. They turn fairly granular within a day. While still delicious is there a way to keep them somewhat translucent and dark? TIA.

You should have added the vinegar to empty bottle of BR. Swish it around and get most of the sauce out. Trying this tomorrow!

Happy New Year! A wood stove is my only source of heat except for a couple of electric plug in heaters. I love the warmth of it! My husband would get it too hot sometimes when he was living. And we would be opening windows and doors. He was on blood thinners the last 10 years of his life and would get cold easily. We got ice here today. I wish I could get Walmart delivery. My closest Walmart is an hour away. I resolve to lose more weight. I lost 30# in 2024 by just cutting down on portion sizes. I gained those 30 after my husband passed away. I need to probably get off another 25#. Y’all have a good week.

I’ve also made this cake and it is truly delicious! I usually put my eggs in first and beat them up by hand with the cake mix then add my cherry pie filling so as not to crush the cherry’s. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Loved this recipe when my neighbor shared some with me! BUT I did try to make it myself with the recipe in the description and I definitely needed the whole 12 oz can of evaporated milk rather than the 6oz. I made the topping as directed first, but it just did not resemble the runny consistency as the one in the video. Mine was pretty thick. So I made a little extra with the remaining 6oz left in the can and seems to be perfect!
