Sadly because a) none of them have the stamp of quality of Reavy’s tunes and b) I very much doubt that any of them will be played much apart from occasionally by myself and I can’t believe that many will be played by ANYONE years after my death. ;-)

That first link you sent is to a Scottish song. Not really my cup of tea, I'm afraid. The second link is to a version of a classic D Dorian reel which is much better known as Julia Delaney (or Julia Delaney's). (Never EVER heard it called The Witches' Reel before...) Thanks Ed. I first came across it played as a set dance by Horslips. And then I was asked by a friend to tab out and record a version. I gather that there’s some dispute over whether this is one of O’Carolan’s compositions.

This one's been around for a long time, Chris. I wrote it in 2002 when the eponymous Benedict, then 2 years of age, hadn't yet rambled very far. He's made up for a lot of lost ground in the meantime. :-)

Thank you, Ed. Not sure that tunes ever rattle round in my head. They more or less occur to me when I have my mandolin in my hand. You may have noticed that The Homesick Sailor is closely related to its Seasick companion. I kind of used the melody of the Seasick jig as a springboard to the hornpipe. The Lovesick Sailor slip jig ... ah ... that one just "materialised". (My rule of thumb over the years - don't examine the process too closely; just remain open to it.). Aidan

I'm afraid I don't know for sure whether this particular tune was composed by Mills or not. Blinding tune, whatever the provenance. Fair play to you for tackling Rufus. Thanks very much, Ed... To be honest, I wasn't quite sure about this tune when it first came to me. But it grew on me after a while. "The Lovesick Sailor" would be another grand name for a tune. I might well use it at some stage. Maybe a "suite" of tunes (as opposed to a set) - The Seasick Sailor, The Lovesick Sailor, The Homesick Sailor. Back stories aplenty to each! :-)
