I always wait to snug down the cam sprocket until i have the timing belt on. Makes installation much easier
This video is perfect thanks. The external adjuster didn’t move any further and the lights illuminated about 20 ft ahead and I thought I was done 😂. Will try this
Follow up: worked perfectly. Now is there a screw for the high beams?
What jets were you using?
Thanks for the video. The Bentley manual says 41 lbs on the last bolt you tightened? Looks like you did more, which I think would be better. The bolt was missing on mine. I have two torque specs: Tight and real tight :)
I honestly don't know. I always crank the bolts for the mounts to compress the pucks fully!
PCV Valve
Im building a gokart with a 212 that im putting oerformance parts into. Cant wait to ride it.
It's gonna rip. This one is already probably too fast for it's environment. Death trap
It sounds like my Ford Fiesta 😆
It might even 60ft close to it 😅
nice job
Thanks, I need to get that flywheel on and do one more test before I open it up. Hope that little governor shaft and gear hang on just a little longer
i checked today my straight away is 0.23 of a mile i need to find a longer straight away to see what it opens up too for sure
WhatsApp the probability with this?
What are you doing for a waste gate
It's a VNT, there isn't one.
Hammer in the bar a bit and that will fix the fitment, how did you wire the fogs is my question because I can’t get my driver side to stay on for more than 2 seconds
I didn't, I actually sold the bumper and stopped worrying about fixing the golf up. Maybe one day if I find one I'll get a new silver hood and fender. Otherwise I'm just gonna drive it
Do you know of any good sources for original/aftermarket golf 3 vr6 connectors and pins? Both for fusebox and and sensors? I have got the ecu side covered.
im hitting 45 with a 212 with a couple mods my goal is 55 good luck buddy
I assume you've pulled the governor?
@@BonusParts yes
yes and put in 22 pound springs
I've got 22lb springs to install as well. Will do that with the new flywheel
Also, I'm up to 46mph so far
*freedom intensifies* 🇺🇸🦅
40 mph on a go kart would be fuckin crazyyy dude that's cool
It's sketchy, and I'm not done yet ! We still have a timing advance flywheel, billet rod, flat top piston and hi com0 headgasket
Got it to 50 now...
@@BonusParts damnnn you flyin
Yeah it's reached significant hazard status
Ball joints do that as well.
Ball joints do not cause a wheel to be loose when the knuckle isn't moving.
@BonusParts they definitely do. Upper ball joints bang like that when worn out. I'm certified master mechanic and promise you they do. Without having to say much you can do a simple youthbe search..upper ball joint how to tell it's bad and my comment wasn't saying your wrong i was just saying they do that as well.
@@BonusParts have a good rest of your day
They definitely don't. The knuckle and hub and wheel would be moving Together with play in a ball joint. Not the wheel/hub flopping when the knuckle is tight. And for a master mechanic I'd assume you'd know that a VW FWD car doesn't have upper ball joints anyways, they're Macpherson front suspension.

Bro i have polo 6R model for 2017 year, 1,4 tdi, pure white...can i have some cool ones like yours on mine??
At least the engine is not going to leak oil😂😂😂
Nope just burn it haha
It will eventually when that rear main doesn’t seal anymore
That's why it's getting fixed before it sucks a seal in.
Actually wanted to know what it would sound like😭
I have another clip posted with it running
This is normal 🤦🏻♂️. Audis use vacuum through there oil systems.
They do but not this much, only 20-40 mb This is excessive.
I think thats dangerous! You need a lottle more like the other dude said so that theres no chance of the caps flying off during driving😂
Could use a little more i think 😂
Hey is this dyi? Like fix on a tight budget? On cement made caps very old it would not stick very well, id buy a metal screen, its cheap, and drill some lil holes around, and after lay the screen and screw on it to the cement then you have something very good for the coat to stick on and grab like a motherfucker and never peal off, ive seen the coating come iff like a blanket after a year
Lets check in a year
It's been a year, still doing great
Those are some nice vettas
Thanks for NOT finishing the video ..dick
Jet that carburetor mr. It's gonna run wayyy better and throw a better air filter to handle it. Nice work!
Not bothering with jets, getting a new carb altogether
Gotta love fast horsepower
Make sure to take the internal governor out before you run the motor with the new carb, you have a chance of blowing a whole in the side of the motor if you leave it in with the new carb
Worry not, that will be in an upcoming installment. I have an advanced flywheel, billet rod, hi comp piston and HG, and parts to delete the internal governor. Thanks for looking out@
@@BonusParts yessir! Happy to hear that!
Hoping to do over 60mph when all said and done. Taking it one mod at a time for now, though I think when I go to remove the governor I'll just do the internals all at once
What model is your frame from?
Not sure, manco something or other
hows it doing? im getting mine in the mail today
No clue, still in the box. Been too busy with shop work to play with the kart yet. Don't forget lapping compound to seat the flywheel to the crankshaft
@@BonusParts i put mine on and it feels like its got more torque and picked up 2 mph so im deff happy
With the timing advance that makes sense, I did 43mph today with just new carb and header. Out of the box, no jet adjustments. I need to put the valve springs in and remove the governor shaft
@@BonusParts whats your sprocket setup im running a 10 tooth to a 60 tooth
I don't know. I'd have to count
Should i feel it become stiff? Got the very same tensioner. Old original. Mine does not become stiff when i prime is with oil.
No because there's nothing holding the oil in it. Just good to fill with oil
Nothing to do with the make, regular servicing and synthetic oil
Some engines/vehicles still end up crappy with that.
Volkswagen. 😂
Das Auto
It’s a different engine to the 2011 Vw Amarok 💩 I’ve got! If you can’t make a good engine don’t bother!!🤦♀️ atleast the Hyundai would be easier to work with!!
We don't have the Amarok in the USA. Wish we did
My 2003 Ford ranger V6 still going strong at 278k miles.
That's Odd. My Friend Has A 2006 Hyundai With Over350,000 Miles On It, Without Taking The Engine Apart FOR ANYTHING. ONLY A Leaking Water Pump At 225K. I Wouldn't Be Bragging Very Much About Your Volkswagen. It Makes It Sound LESS DURABLE. 😢😢😢...
Wahahahaha Hyundai vs Volkswagen Better think again on that answer lol
A joke right?
No that's what a clean engine with almost 200k looks like. See my hyundai video, sludgey garbage at 117k with twice the oil change frequency
@BonusParts yes if you don't change your oil, from my experience people avoid vw
thats light godamn
I'll weigh the stock iron unit when I remove it for comparison
I just purchased thoes parts .. now I need to find a car
It's a POS but it's a well-maintained POS. As a mechanic, everything sucks. I daily a Toyota turbo-diesel because I found it sucks less than other sucky things.
They are a lot of fun to work on.
Take care of that motor it will last you for ever.
That's the funniest s*** I've heard
All I got to say is....... I'm LOL
owned one and it was one of the worst car to service and to own. I don’t look back VW “group”.
Sounds more like "I didn't like servicing it, and that made it a bad car"
If someone abuses the vehicle and doesn’t get oil changes at the proper intervals it wouldn’t look like that. And we all know it’s been maintained well if they are coming in for a routine timing chain service. Of course VW did pay 14.7 billion dollars for cheating emission tests and deceiving its customers. But yeah VW is the best lol
