Proof that patience & persistence = SUCCESS 🙌 On day 5 around 3p my starter had a small amount of liquid on top so I discarded my starter back to 25g ADDED 50g WARM (79°-80°-Do not go above 100°) FILTERED WATER ADDED 50g of FLOUR (25g Organic All-purpose & 25g Whole Wheat) Checked it (in my second video on Day 4 & 5...) check on the starter. I named mine Sally. If you didn't name yours, do that now. lots of bubbles but just stir & cover Smell changed to a sour milk kind of scent I confirmed that we are just stirring today & probably tomorrow will be a discard day

check on the starter stir it up & put the lid back on put the towel back on and leave it chances are you see pretty much nothing going on. I had 2 bubbles and it smells just like flour

Sourdough starter is slow rising, what do I do?

If your Sourdough Starter is very slow, but still rising (has not gone back down to its original line, hasn't doubled yet & doesn't have watery look on top) then you can: 1. Stir it & leave it on counter/in oven with light off 2. If container seems thin, you could switch to a canning jar (they seem to have a good thick glass) I would not feed it yet, even if it was 24hrs. It is more about the s...

Hi! And thank you for subscribing & watching. I started this channel to share with others my love for sourdough baking & try to jump on here to give tips & show what I am doing. This is all so new to me so I apologize for the delay in responding as I am still unsure how to see when someone comments. To answer your question sourdough baking started off as a passion & hobby to make good bread that is also good for the body & turned into a business as well.
