Someone from either uni, correct me if i'm wrong, but what are these opinions based off of? Like is there no real reason for the steryotypes or is there things that the students do or act like to make the opinion. Im not trying to start and argumet or smt like that, ive put UoB as one of my choices and want to know what the students are acctually like before i make a decision
Realistically it doesn't really matter which one you choose. But on a busy night out some people tend to live up to the stereotypes, namely UOB. Bristols a great city, I just wish there wasn't such a divide between both unis in many aspects
as someone who goes to uwe... i can confirm uob students are so fucking annoying. they act like they are forty and their egos are fucking huge. i have only met three of them i actually like and can tolerate. people from uwe are genuinely so much more friendly and fun.
Surely these are not Bristol university students . I graduated from there about a decade ago and all were intelligent, motivated and driven. These seem either random idiots or that other crappy polytechnic university

Yes low pay. Blue collar job. You can make that salary in 1 month in the city

@@Marcus-mx9yg yes low pay as low barrier of entry. Some counties only need gcse and others none needed except passing some basic exams. Compared to say other careers paying £150k to £200k plus in medicine_ orthopedic surgeon, radiologist etc high finance . All need top Masters or MBA or med school. Harder barrier of entry

@@davidc4408 yes but its only top 1% of people really earning that much money, 30k is perfectly fine and not poor to say you could 'make that in a month in the city' is a bit of a stretch yes maybe some (few) people do but lets be realistic. barriers to entry arn't a great measure as anyone can start a business and be a millionaire

University of Bristol is a great university. After Oxbridge, Imperial, LSE then Bristol, Edinburgh Warwick, York, Durham, UCL etc are all in next Elite Russell group class.
Ranking depends on subject area to be fair.

I find this hilarious. I got accepted into both universities but ended up going to uom. i asked uob about their involvement with uwe and damn they really tried to get to opposite sides of the city to avoid each other huh. I find it hilarious because I frequently bump into and am friends with mmu (manchester met) students. we let each other into a lot of our facilities and have a lot of crossover and collaboration. so hilarious that they really had to get the posh people on the other side of the city from the working classes. Uwe >>>>>> Uob
