It's a well-known theory that Tchaikovsky did not die from cholera, contrary to popular belief. Studies found that Tchaikovsky's case of "cholera" wasn't life threatening and that his symptoms fell closer to arsenic poisoning. This brought on the theory that he was forced by the Russian government to take his own life because the government did not want a homosexual figure to be famous in Russia.
Hence, the first thing I said in the description -- that the greatest composers happen to be the ones with the biggest problems. But I still love his music. I've seen the Nutcracker 10 times probably. :)
