From a story telling perspective at least, this is the best paper Mario imo. Game play... That's a different story.
For a platformer the gameplay is still great, it's no New super mario bros that's for sure

Such a underrated game, it is true it's different from all the paper mario games but this one focuses on the story and develops all the characters just epicly and sadly (Luvbi..) only the true fans comeback and still play and support to of course talk and enjoy it with others :)

my only complaint about this game is that it's sometimes kinda hard to see who's talking if the speech bubble is pointing in a direction where there are multiple people. The rest of the game/cutscenes is phenomenal and great. Brings tears to my eyes ;-;

I think this Mario game has the best story line out of all of the Mario games, it made me cry ):
I like ttyd better tbh but spm has better storyline I'll admit but ttyd had more characters that are unique and the battles were more interesting they got rid of battles in super paper Mario or spm which sucks cause the battles made the game more interesting this game is more of moving around rather then fighting plus the pixels do all the work which suck cause it's fun to have you and a partner of your choice fight against the world it made things more interesting and strategic it works your brain those game are what I like the most not games that make you look all over the place to escape a world plus I don't want to just jump and use a hammer all day that's boring but paper Mario went downhill when sticker star came out they need to bring back the og paper Mario ideas like having real battles with partners and not stickers or spinning enemies around I get bored with the last 3 games but the first 3 paper Mario games are the goat they deserve all the love in the world
The Mario and Luigi games have good stories as well.
In all my life, I have never played this game before, ever. And growing up ever since, I’ve watched TH-cam gameplays, listened to the soundtrack, and learned a lot about this game on the internet. And I just hope that some day, this lifelong dream that I have been having all my life will become a reality when I get the chance to play it.
If you have a laptop you can emulate the game extremely easily, like you could literally play it within 20 minutes from reading this comment.
Yeah, try Dolphin Emulator. 100% safe, 100% easy, I still play SPM to this day by using it.
If you don't have access to a Wii console, Emulator/ modded consoles... (decent PC.) you can purchase a Wii mini... but I highly recommend a higher end portable --- like a Samsung S20 galaxy/ tablet, with Dolphin app: with screen sharing /mirroring.
