You are s personable and talented! I love to sing jazz and sing at several assisted living homes. I love to see the residents' eyes light up and they start to sing with me. I see that Rod Stewart is now singing all the old songs, also.

I was really closed minded when I was studying jazz in college. Everything I listened to had to be Jazz. Abandoned classical, rock, and blues music. Now I will listen to everything, and try to shut up naive judgments (getting better). You can learn from every type of music. I found myself enjoying Justin Timberlake the other day, who cares? Lage is right, too much music to close yourself off to.

I'm currently reading "Tonight At Noon" (I'm about 2/3 through it) and finding it an enoyable and beautifully written look into the intimate details of Mingus's life and his and Sue's lives together. It's quite a fascinating fly-on-the wall peek into the life of this great artist.

Very enjoyable jazz played with great art ! Such a pleasure listening to the way instrumentists interact and a lesson on how jazz can be played tone, dynamic and phrasings. Most musicians, more famous, sometimes just play notes fast and mechanically. Congrats Sarah and go on ! Thumbed up and favorited...
