Hysterical! My order for Hackslacks is in!
Hooray! Thank you for watching!
Great review! Have you seen "The Wolf House"? It looks very interesting, but I'm wondering if it is too "artsy" for Two Dollar Horror?
@@psIII0922 The Wolf House is definitely on my watchlist! I love me some artsy horror
Been meaning to check this movie out! Sounds like I should and then come back and watch this!
Really love the title appearance at the end. Can you make a video featuring only it? Or perhaps one with many “easy” to make, but awesome looking stuff like that?
Hi! Thanks for watching! Yes, one of our goals is to start making some fun short tutorials for stuff like this. Hopefully in 2025. 🤞
@ Nice
The final attack I actually found to be entertaining. The ninja guys had some nice moves. Actually climbs on a helicopter. The guy with the crossbow that only uses it once and then carries it around for no reason is kinda bad. Found the movie to be very boring until the end act. It might be cause I looked up and found out it was a Swedish/Danish movie. And since I live in Sweden I might be bias.
You are right. Completely. It is a very looooong drawn out film. It feels so much longer than it is, and while there is a lot of good things to it (the cinematography, the gore (when it happens), the idea (which has been done before)) the whole film just trudges along slowly, very slowly...
@@GinjaNinjaJK it really does. If they had just developed a bit more of an actual plot this movie could have been something special.
I fell asleep while watching the movie. So I guess I recommend it for insomniacs.
Teen Witch... I know I saw the VHS cover, but never watched it... I dont think I've heard of "The Worst Witch" but for me, every time I think of Tim Curry I think of... "Wilderness Girls!" Happy Halloween!
National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1 was one of my favorite movies in the early 90s. I think I'm going to have to watch that very soon!
old post but i gotta say (and y'all may hate me but) i dont think Tom deserved to die at the end. he was just a disturbed child in a man's body
That's a pretty fair assessment, though he was an immediate threat to everyone around him at that particular moment
@@portal-b because in his mind everyone was against him. and some critics wanted the wife to dump the husband for him. i'd have told him ''you're just afraid that no one will love you cause YOU werent loved as a child. if you'd have only told me in the beginning i'd have understood. but i have a husband already. he may not be the best but you'll find someone, trust me.''
Can’t wait to see it but the PC brigade had to get involved 😖
@@mynyddyquartzite2034 I honestly don't see much for the anti-woke crowd to gripe about in this movie.
The "Book" does not translate to Butts in the seats....Barlow in the Book, does not translate to Barlow on the screen!!Comparing the book to any theatrical version is a fools game..IMO
Yea, he was actually a very handsome aristocrat or something. They did show that with the 2004 version. He did not look like a Nosferatu vamp.
SALEMS lot 2004 Starring Rob lowe Directed by. Mikael salomon Was a extremely horrible movie A made for tv movie But tobe hoopers SALEMS Lot Was also a made for tv movie and it was excellent
Awesome review Matt! I cant wait to check this one out!
Never heard of this movie! Definitely feels like Harmony Korine had some consulting credit behind this movie 😂😂😂
Crawl. Underrated creature feature fo' sho! I love me a good Gator/Croc film and this is up there with the best!
@@GinjaNinjaJK the croc/gator subgenre is surprisingly full of winners!
Welcome back! Hider In The House, such a classic Busey flick! He was the "go to" crazydude in the 80s/90s! Lethal Weapon, Under Siege, Predator 2! Kind of got The Guest vibes with this one... Or The Guest gave me Hider In The House Vibes?
In Alexandre Aja We Trust! 🫡
Good to see you guys. Best of luck on the show. Gary took a few to many trips. 🫣
Hopefully this movie qualifies? The Serpent and The Rainbow, seriously messed with me as kid. Would you guys review it?
@@brianlogan4243 I remember seeing this as a kid and it scaring the crap out of me. I'm definitely into revisiting it!
@@portal-b Awesome! Im glad I found your channel. Greetings from the other side PA, Im outside Philadelphia
I like watching you guys banter even better than the reviews.
The new set looks great... kinda like the old set. It's like the Taco Bell menu: same 7 ingredients.... just configured differently.
So glad you all are back! 🎉🎉 Another fun episode.
@@scrappedbits thanks so much! We are excited to be back!
Busey was money in the late 80’s early 90’s. Predator 2, Point Break, Under Siege, Surviving the Game were all good roles. 94 was his last decent year with Chasers and Drop Zone.
@@LanceOMG I mean, Silver Bullet...nuff said 🤷♂️😋
Thoughts while re-watching this episode: * What if the lead actor started marketing his own brand of signature liquor... Mali-Booze? * If you were driving around with Deron McBee, and he spotted a Punch Bug before you did, do ya think it would leave a Mali-Bruise? * You two dummies are funny to watch. Keep it up!
A Suckle of vampires!
Holy production value! Nice job.
The really amazing thing about ghostwatch is that half the cast were so well- known as TV presenters- Michael Parkinson was one of the most famous presenters on TV, Sarah Greene and Mike Smith were on something or other every week, but none of them had ever done any acting so no one could have blamed the portion of the audience who believed that ghostwatch was real.
I loved the premise. It was a compelling film, despite its flaws. I think they could’ve left out the carnage at the end. It diminished the impact.
The ending has grown on me with each viewing. I don't think it's especially innovative, but it's a lot of fun and definitely rewatchable. It's a good flick to throw into your October rotation.
I loved Late Night with the Devil. So far its my top horror movie of the year.
Same!
My favorite part of this movie was when it first came out I worked at a video rental store and a lot of surly old people rented it under the impression that it would be like Tombstone Part 2. Since they were very curmudgeonly, I took a lot of delight in knowing what they were actually in for! Ps. Sorry to hear about your Mother. I hope you all are doing well!
Great picks! I loved Late Night, thought it was so well done, acting was brilliant, the set design and sound really draws you into the era. The story is really captivating and those little hints they drop in was great, really could have expanded more! Ghostwatch. Brilliant. Thats it. Thats all. Its super creepy and well made. WNUF Halloween Special, I have not seen but I will keep an eye out for it!
I was really impressed with how well executed Ghostwatch is. And Late Night...I just love it. You're right, they put you right into that era pretty seamlessly. I hope you can find the WNUF special, it's a super fun watch.
Wow what a list. So much to talk about but I’ll try to make it brief. Miami Connection, great movie. Forget Bruce Lee, we got a Jackie Chan wannabe in this one. Plus one of the catchiest ear worms in cinematic history. Neil Breen is a freaking mess. The only guy that can make a movie in 2018 and make the production value look like it’s from 1991. And I think the beauty of Tommy Wiseau is that he understands these days that it is a bad movie. So bad it’s good but he realizes that now. Great vid. Good to see both of you back in action.
Fun watch! Looking forward to more!
Thanks for dropping by, we're glad you enjoyed it!
Nope. Code of silence.
Im sorry for your loss. I saw this movie for the first time a year or so ago and loved it, but the violence was a lot. Not sure I could sit through that scene in the cave again. 😓 but I am glad I watched it.
It's definitely a rough scene. I will definitely revisit this movie, but I think I might put a few years between viewings 😋
Sorry for your loss!
Thank you
Looking forward to it!
100%! Why does no one ever mention this? Surely you would smell him coming a mile away?!
Another stellar video. Putting this one on the watch list. Looking forward to seeing this one
Great review! I have been eyeing this one off so sounds like I need to move it up the watch list!
Damn why was he never in the league
excellent review!!!
Scary!
Hello there. TH-cam decided to recommend this, and I thought I'd check it out. I enjoyed it. Very chill and made me laugh. I grew up watching 80s horror and B-movies, and I love hearing other people talk about their opinions and experiences watching them. BTW, I loved your Black Books reference 😂 Nice set design, too!
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking us out, we're so glad you enjoyed the episode. Being a couple of 80s and 90s kids ourselves, we know exactly you mean! ...plus, you're down with Black Books, which makes you instantly cool 😎
@@portal-b No worries. I'm from the UK, and Bill Bailey is a national treasure 😂 I've been to his live shows. He's great. You gained a new subscriber. Have you guys thought about doing a Cannon Films special? Or maybe mini creature features like Critters, Ghoulies, Gremlins, etc?
We've definitely discussed doing a puppet creature themed episode and very likely will eventually A Cannon films special could be a lot of fun!
@@portal-b awesome 😁

Just had to comment... You guys are great! ( I think you're funny ) You should try to check out the movie One Dark Night...
Thanks, Don, we're glad you're enjoying the channel and we will definitely check out your suggestion 😎
I think retail workers generally feel that "urge to kill" in the workplace constantly lol Can you imagine a evil/death/possessed gym movie set now? Gym bros and people getting cancelled lol I enjoyed Death Spa for what it was. Definitely a hidden gem, a nostalgic treasure trove of the 80s... Sort of lol Will be checking out Killer Workout though! I have not seen that and it sounds suitably trashy! Awesome stuff as always and all the best for the new year ahead!
I would love to see a current evil gym movie, but it'd have to take itself seriously as a horror movie instead of being a tongue in cheek nod to bad horror...that movie about possessed designer jeans didn't really do anything for me. Thanks as always for watching, dude, and we hope you have an awesome year as well...I love the new themes and directions you're going!
Cheers from 40something old fart from Croatia.
Cheers! 🍻
