That's a good question. Some I know have them as summer apartments.I also know a couple are with relatives. You would like to think the insurance company is paying for their temporary accommodation.

@susannoble4417 I chose the spot carefully away from buildings and a safe escape route. I also had someone staying in touch with me, but you're correct, it's definitely safer to stay at home. I made the video for all the sensible people that did stay at home so they could see the actual conditions. I did say on the video that what I was doing was not recommended. @michaelmarsh-bl9mg not in the traditional way I agree, but they provide workshop's for people locally through the butterfly affected project, which does a lot of work for people with mental health issues. The murals also get Fleetwood local and national media coverage, which that in itself is a positive thing. It also makes people smile when they see and walk past these murals. I think all in all, it's a positive creation that goes a little way to brightening up our streets and depicting some of Fleetwood's heritage.

Thank you so much for the lovely comment. My name is Roger. Comments like yours are a great incentive knowing someone appreciates the videos. I moved to Fleetwood 4 years ago. It's the best thing I've ever done. I love the "Britishness" and the history about our town. The people here are friendly and welcoming too. I'm hoping I'll have more time in the near future to cover much more of Fleetwood. At the moment I'm juggling between having to travel for my work. I've got 100s of ideas for videos and just hope soon I'll have more time to make them. Thank you again for your kind comments here. I really do appreciate it.

York is a major tourist city , this is a deprived town on the Lancashire coast.

@@michaelmarsh-bl9mg Nothing to do with hosting an event. Blackpool is also a deprived town on the same coast and does plenty. Organizers should really be looking into getting trams on to back of lorry's. They get fun fair rides there.

Slight difference between York and our town. There were a lot more displays not shown on the video. It brought people in from across the county and further. Local businesses benefitted greatly and it helps highten the town's profile. Fleetwood hosts a multitude of small events throughout the year bringing this small community together. Fleetwood may have it's issues but it's still a great place to live with great people and some of the most beautiful coastline on the Fylde Coast. Saying all that, I appreciate you taking the time to comment and watch.

The newly formed Committee did brilliantly at the last minute to ensure this great event took place. They deserve full credit for their massive efforts.

What an IDIOTIC thing to say. It was NOT a festival of burger vans at all, with the new committee. SPECIFICALLY cutting them down. But even if they hadn't, how exactly would you suggest the committee get the TENS of THOUSANDS of pounds it costs to put on this COMPLETELY FREE event, you total muppet?? Hmm? Rob a bank? Shake the magic money tree in the chairman's back garden? No. It's partly by "burger vans" and their ilk. And if the NRM, which is a national tax payer's funded museum, to you is better, then I'd suggest you go there on the 20 July 2025 instead of coming to the 40th anniversary event. Trust me, you WON'T be missed out of the 60,000 who turned up and thoroughly enjoyed a totally free and fun day out that puts Fleetwood firmly on the National event map. And if you think you can make it better than the NRM, you are more than welcome to join the committee and bring your obviously 'far superior' knowledge, experience and competence to the event. 'Competence' that includes you posting there were "No Trams: when in fact in total, there were 16 there, Mr Genius!! Perhaps stick to just getting an NRM colouring in book next time you're there and colouring in the pretty trains and just leave the big stuff to the grown-ups, eh? Aww. Bless. Lol.
