@@LukeWrightMain Tried that and didn't work. Battery charge still pops up and stays off. Only way i see i can get it power up automatically is with its built in power on, power off scheduler. Like a certain time a day to power on by itself

@@jecht317 gotcha, yeah that’s unfortunate. Certain phones have certain root locks. If there’s ever a root or a way to load custom rom onto the device then that could be an alternative

@@II-er7gj I will do some testing, I meant to do some testing b it havnt gotten into it, been building software for these cellhasher and Flight sheets etc.. to make it easier for people to and optional turn off screens so that users can leave screens connected but benefit from the less watts if they are off while still running the applications in the background

As far as I can tell I havnt had any problems with it.

@@paladdin1500 Depends what you are referring to. These are custom for phone farms yes and can be found on cellhasher.com the phones I sourced online sellers

@@harmonjosephd You have to solder the cords provided. Some people have been able to modify it for usb use, but the power will drain overtime on that. As the units are meant only for data transfer through the usb and power separately

@@LukeWrightMainI might have to root my devices to disable the battery. I’ve got an Samsung A42 that won’t allow that command to run. My devices are all Samsung but range from A03s to S21 plus. I repair electronics and had several laying around that I forgot about.

@@harmonjosephd which command? The fastboot one? On some devices it doesn’t work, so just make sure that you can power on the device manually if you want to skip it.

@@LukeWrightMain in Turkey, the mobile phones are expensive because needs to register by government for network. But I don’t need network. And it s forbidden to buy mobile phones via shipping company. But we can buy this farming box with the cell phones. We tell the customs it is a server computer and pay the taxes. They don’t open the box. They only open the package and check the box.

@@jasonhernandez2242 yeah it’s quite different, there’s gonna be positive, negative and a data pin. Essentially you’ll need to find out for your make and model which is which. And solder the power directly to it from there. (There’s a few videos I saw on TH-cam, if you search up running Android without battery, you will want to look for stuff older than 2021 ish.)

@@davidfu8174 correct, I have been told the Samsungs devices take a higher voltage which you wouldn’t need to cut anything. The PSU in the box goes down to only around 4.45-4.5. Which isn’t low enough for my orbics to use the BMS cable with the circuit, (you want to use the circuit if possible) so by cutting the circuit off I bypass over voltage out shut downs. There is modification that I’ll share in an upcoming video to the PSU that brings them all the way down to the required voltage now aswell :)

@@stacy532 you could probably do what your stating, currently everyone uses their phones BMS connector to hardwire connections.

@LukeWrightMain Seems like it would be a great battery replacement since they are 6 bucks 8ah and 3.2 volts . And 4000 charge cycles to 80% Cryptosense is a good mining alternative I usually make 30 cents per device on my good days. Nielsen mobile panel is good for older cheaper phones. 16.6 cents per day fully passive u can run more than one. 60 bucks a year . One measure perks 16 cents per day per phone. One account per ip. Mob profit Brand bee both 5 cents per device Cashing out turns into a job if you are cashing out on 400 phones.

@@stacy532 totally agree on the chore for using apps like those when cashing out, I do think a little scrypt could be made to speed up that process. The majority of the work on my phones is all scripted now and makes it very nice be hands off

True! But phones are 8x more profitable. So pick your poison :) and you don’t need to buy all the other stuff like ram, motherboard, etc… phones have it already. They are even better than Raspberry Pi’s about 3x more efficient then them and profitable

@@LukeWrightMain interesting.... I suppose it would ultimately depend on the price of the equipment. Phones use more power to achieve the same hashrate I am guessing, compared to a 7950X

I don’t think so, I believe Verus is more cpu intensive rather than ram. My orbics are only 3gb of ram
