Once you let go of the throttle you're no longer making the exhaust gas pressure that you normally would be to spool the turbo in the first place, there are several different types of blow off valves that induce the sutututu sound that blow off pressure once it reaches a certain point. Your turbo will create less and less boost as it spins down because you no longer have the exhaust gas pressure spooling the exhaust turbine. That sutututu can be just as safe as the ptcshhhh of a single blow off.

When I started getting into modifying cars, I tried to understand how to do so by reading forum posts (that often had no pictures) and piecing together how they applied to the cars that I had. Having an explanatory video like this to get me started would have saved a ton of time. Great job going into the details on what everything does and why. I have a white 05 lincoln town car that im keeping for life. The marquis and crown and TC with the 4.6 two valve is the way to go. I dont understand why anyone would be concerned about the RPM redline. Stock is all anyone needs. My lincoln will never go above even 3000 rpm.

That cracked up plastic on the bottom of the intake is just an insulator. Still a good idea to replace the intake though. Looks like a ton of work to whip that car into shape, good on you!
