I took the C7 Z06 to PSR Performance in Pottstown, PA, because I wanted to get baseline HP numbers before an AFE cold air intake install. I also want to see what kind of HP gains the AFE cold air intake will add by itself on a stock car.
Cant trust the heat soak numbers lol
When making a video maybe not chew gum like a cow chewing on cud.
Cold air intakes are all bullshit there just made to look nicer

z06's are very intimidating when i see them.. but i will nonetheless still run you in my e85 tuned m4 =)
I have a 19 m4 with down pipes and charge pipe on e85 and my z06 still dog walks it, facts
makes zero sense to do 5th gear pulls other than to heat soak the car.
That is my dream Z06 right there!

Did you give it time (200 miles) for the computer to relearn the new air flow and make adjustments? I think you need to do a relaearn procedure as well & disconnect the battery over night.
Nice ride! I had a build done on my ‘16 Z06 back in May. By baseline was 548/601 and ended up with 681/675. It was a very clean build and I am thrilled with it. The car is a beast!

Sounds great. Is that a custom mat in the back area or do Z06s come with the logo in the trunk area?
When you add more air flow to any engine. You definitely need to add more fuel!!
Not as much, but changes the computer brain with mixture!!!!

If you got the gray filter as well try that one. The blue (oiled filter) needs a tune. With the gray filter you’ll see a substantial gain over stock.
Worst video on TH-cam. Posts a video claiming to show dyno numbers before and after AFE install but just click baits you to watch 2 before AFE install dynos and doesn’t post the After AFE install video even after 2 months . Take this thumbs down vote ….
Glad I found this video. Anxious to see your results. We have the same car. I got an AFE intake, Corsa performance exhaust NPP and tune and got 35 horsepower gain. I have a suspicion that the guy did not put much effort into the tune at all. I'm getting a second opinion dyno diagnostic next week and I'll find out.

My '17 Z06 manual...installed aFe intake & corsa catless X pipe. Never dynod so not sure of added HP. Love the sound & response. Wanna see your numbers after bolt on. 🙂
I did AFE cold air intake, looks long tubes catless xpipe, NGK plugs, and 55% Ethanol and made 676/660. M7 car. Needs headers and would be perfect bolt on car
Ignorant question for you but I also have a C7 ZO6 and I'm starting to mod. What's the benefit of swapping out the plugs?
@@MichaelGreco its not ignorant. Your gaining understanding which is the opposite. NGK plug is a colder plug. I gapped mine to .028 I believe its when you run more timing. Good luck and checkout my TH-cam channel: Rdubfalco
Wow that’s some serious gains. I have an AFE intake, plugs, heat exchanger, E60 flex fuel kit, and a 2.30” upper pulley all on the way for my 17’ Z06 M7. No exhaust or header mods planned. I’m curious to see what my numbers will be after the tune. But if they’re anything close to yours I’ll be extremely happy. I’m going for a “stock +” setup; nothing too crazy at all.
@@joeirl I wouldn't do a pulley until you do a cam. These blowers are spun pretty hard from the factory. Its nit like the LS wjere you can dial in more fueling with injectors- unless you buy di injectors and your in there already. By doung a cam you increase the fuel lobe on the high pressure side of the fuel system and then you csn pulley down but on stock cam and high press side you might as well do full exhaust intake and flex fuel 🌽
Rdubfalco I’ll have to look into that. Thanks for the input man. Maybe I’ll hold off on the pulley for some exhaust mods. Heads and cam would be the ultimate goal for the car, I’m just trying to find a good starting point. You think intake and ethanol would suffice? I want the car to FEEL a significant difference
