That voice....... it's flat, it's off key, and it is fabulous. It makes Midori. Folks look at Mariko Gotō and think, "wow, she's nuts".... and they may very well be right. She is nuts. But folks also don't realize she is very aware of what she is doing. The band takes their queues from her. The concert goes in the direction she takes it and the band follows her.
i've read that she had mental health problems, but seeing her hit her head and bleed ;_;. Just hope she's ok where ever she is now even if it has nothing to making music.
She tried to start a solo career with not too much success. During the live shows you can also see a lot of cutting scars... I hope she finds peace with herself too.
