I just broke up with my girl or she broke up with me I’m not really sure who did that part. She’s a Christian woman and I’m a Christian man but we weren’t good for each other. I prayed for her as much as possible but she was convinced she was a prophet and apart of a small but growing charismatic church. Her pastor was a female prophet and told us she saw holy matrimony in our future. She fell for it and I questioned why God would impose on my free will. It was hard getting a word in edge wise as well so trying to voice my concern was tough. I pray for her but I’m glad we split up. Excited about things to come. Amen ?

I prayed for my husband as a child... Prayed my heart out... But my husband is not my number one in my life... Jesus Christ is and I tell him that all the time... With all due respect and .y head held high... Jesus Christ is my everything my number one, my savior who gave his life for me to get a chance to go to heaven... Not one human man has done that for me...

That's true in the sense that God lives within you. YOU must find your own fulfillment (happiness). Not your spouse and not your children. You'll have a happier marriage if you don't think that your spouse is the one that is supposed to fulfill you (make you happy). That's an individual's responsibility.

My upbringing told me that I couldn't go to God for fulfillment because I was always putting sin in front of His throne. So I needed filling but I couldn't go to him. Enter a Godly husband who helped point me to finding fulfillment in God instead of him. He told me "I love you and I can help you but I can't be Jesus for you." It hurt at the time but that stays with me. I'm glad there are pastors that deliver the truth harshly this way but have hope friends. If you have anxiety and see God as unapproachable then don't hear his tone and feel condemned. It is idolatry but God is rich in mercy and is waiting, as THE friend and king, to help you move your affections away from this world and onto Him.

I agree that we cannot let something like this get to us and we should pray for the lost ( the producers and participants of the ceremony , etc).We are to love our enemies but its important still to voice our disaproval and call them out on what happened...not for our sake but for theirs and to alert others who may already be desensitized to such things.

My counselor is telling me to allow my husband to watch porn. That I need to have a secure attachment not an attachment of anxiety where I'm forcing him to behave. ...I don't know how to balance where it's my biblical duty that his body is mine and submit to him (he thinks porn is fine)...while recognizing that his sin is his sin. The book of 1st Peter, where submit to my husband. And obey the Lord myself. What do I do?
