Yeah I was disappointed when I read about the dollshe problems. He has great dolls but shit business ethics!!! I just got a legit Grant Philippe 45cm off EBay and I have no regrets. I would have preferred Arsene but there were none on the market. Maybe one day. But not directly from DollShe unless he gets his shit together.
With the lawsuit going on and Dollshe just saying they are going to 'stop doing dolls' instead of giving refunds and finishing orders. Sadly things are bleak, I think the best case would be if Dollshe lets someone buy the copyrights for the sculpts and then they can produce the dolls. Selling the sculpts to another company happened with My Dolling they sold to Dollmore their discontinued sculpts and all is well. There is some hope but right now it's rough. Hoping for the best, especially for the tons of people caught up in the mess.

I will check to see if I screenshot the questions but from the top of my head it was asking you to change your bio on Instagram and make sure if you have a private account you have to make it public and leave it public until Haru says you're good. Haru wanted you to detail all the dolls you own and 'tell your history' in the hobby. He also wanted you to agree to not selling your doll and if you do you have to ask his permission to sell to the inquiring buyer. You have to have references from people you bought from before. You had to answer why you want the doll. That's just a couple of things he was asking. For me it was too invasive for buying a doll. I don't want to be investigated for a leisure purchase.

Thanks! I did a few things I'll share it in an update.
And this is why people told me to not even buy from Dollshe but second hand if so. I also see there is a lawsuit against Dollshe that's going on or is about to happen says it all. I would never wait for a doll that takes 3 years if its meant to be somewhere around 3 to 6 or even 9 months to arrive. Anyways that body sculpt is nice! I wanted a slimmier not too muscular and sutble abs for my character as well. Just wish more bigger male dolls im 68 and up were like it, because thats the range I want him in. Its a bit frustrating when you find something you like but one or two things you don't like about a body. I am thinking about Telesthesia or DFH/A for his body which to be fair DFH does have a non muscular body, but their genetalia comes separately and not with the doll like DFA or Telesthesia. If course I may just go with a different company if I find I like their body and dye it the color I want and just not have those parts. Either way hoep I can complete him one day.
I'm interested to see how the lawsuit goes, right now they are working on active cases (there are far too many). If they need any evidence of their behaviour over time I will gladly give all the receipts of what I had to go through with them. I'm following the case and if there is anything I can do at any point to help I will. I know it's not a fan fav but resinsoul does offer a not as muscular large boy body I want to give it a try in the future for one of my floating heads. I hope you get the body you're looking for I can relate to the struggle. Thanks for leaving a comment and watching my video. ❤️

Beautiful doll. I hope you still find joy in him despite the absolute nightmare Dollshe put you through. What I don’t understand is why they continue to take new orders-and why people continue to make them-knowing how backed up their production is at this point. Those deep discount sales have always felt a bit sinister to me, like a scam that for some reason has been accepted in our community. Three years ago the wait was believed (by me, at least) to be a year. That isn’t their advertised production time, true, but I could sort of understand it. They were in demand, they were a luxury product, etc. Now that they finally are pretending to deliver the promises they made years ago, they have the audacity to demand MORE MONEY to send a doll strung? When every other BJD company in the market understands assembly as a basic part of delivering their product? I certainly don’t wish to deprive anyone of Dollshe’s sculpts and craftsmanship… but they need to get their shit together before they take any more money from anybody else.
I am enjoying him lots thank you 😊. I don't think Dollshe is going to change unless people stop buying from them. They are advertising new sculpt ideas and taking 'preorder money' for them and I know they have zero intention on delivering the promised products. There needs to be a Dollshe strike because they are just horrible, absolutely horrible. I never want to deal with them again. Love the doll hate the company.
I also had the same issue with Dollshe. I completely forgot I ordered it, which was around the two year mark. Luckily they refunded my money. However what annoyed me was the mockery from the BjD community. When I simply asked, how long it usually takes for this company to complete an order. Hence why I no longer participate in the BJD community
Sorry to hear about your negative experience, I hope you're happy privately collecting. You're lucky you got a refund. From what I've seen it's not common. My theory is they spend the money way before the product is even started in production and use the new orders money to fund the production of the old ones on whatever sick twisted timeline they have.
