Welcome to my channel. This will mostly have videos regarding electric unicycles but may contain some other adventures. I'm a daily EUC commuter and love exploring the beautiful city of San Diego. To purchase your own EUC please visit www.ewheels.com/flyboy and follow me on Instagram @FlyboyEUC
Pidzoom Mirror Installation and Review
I was given a helmet mirror from pidzoom.com/products/helmet-mirror to review and test. Other than receiving the mirror for free, I have no financial gain from this review. I've been using a mirror for over 5 years and I highly recommend them. The Pidzoom mirror was a huge upgrade and definitely worth it for the visibility and awareness of what is behind me.

I really enjoyed this round of the Fullerton Loop! I challenged myself and participated in challenges that I typically don't try. The challenges ended up not being that bad thanks to the super awesome wheels we have now. The other riders were always so encouraging and cheerful when trying something whether you succeeded or didn't. If you tried, you were cheered. Follow me on Komoot to see all m...

I've lived in San Diego for 6 years and never been to Julian until this ride. Larger range wheels also meant that I could lengthen this ride a bit to include Julian which was totally worth the extra miles. This was a fun ride and my first one in a long time. Its a small loop around Mission Trails and Tierrasanta. The trails are fun and are friendly to beginners and experienced riders. This was a new group of riders for me and they did very well. We also did a little exploration at the end which turned out to be very challenging. Mt. Palomar - The Nate Harrison Grade

Watch as Murphy's law completely took over an otherwise epic ride. The ride started late, wheels and riders overheated, human/machine/animal rescues were made, batteries ran low, and thunderstorms loomed overhead. Thanks to an awesome group and some good Samaritans, we all got safely back to our homes and survived the Nate Harrison Grade. Follow me on Komoot to see all my adventures and the his...
Santa Rosa Plateau - Alternate Dirt Descent

This is an old video I never got to, but it was a good one. We did some endurance testing with the brand new Master at the time and Matt Burr, Dawn Champion, and I compared our voltages as we took the Master up steep hills and down dirt trails over 58 miles. The wheels performed very well, especially compared to the Sherman which was the other main wheel present on this ride. Follow me on Komoo...

For over 4 years I've been trying to find a rideable loop around Otay Mountain. I've ridden all over the northern, western, and east entrances. Now I try from the far east from Tecate Peak or Mt. Cuchuma. Unfortunately, a river divides the two mountains. So I'll need to wait until it dries up in the summer. It was a beautiful ride though. This mellow ride explores all the historical places in northwest SD County: the 18th California Mission, the Carlsbad Flower Fields, Legoland, Oceanside, and more. Black Mountain to Torrey Pines: SoCal EUC Tour 2023

This ride was nice and cool with the looming rain clouds. Luckily we never got wet. This route is what I refer to as the 50/50 ride. 50% dirt and 50% road. We start with 18 miles or dirt ending atop Black Mountain which offers spectacular views. WE then take a nice bike path straight to the ocean for arguably one of the most iconic Pacific Hwy views in San Diego. Follow me on Komoot to see all ...

Thanks for the review !
I have one. Pidzoom makes nice mirrors.

Yup. Duf, Marty, and a few SoCal locals.

Good test ! Thanks. What is the name of the speed meter on your hand ? 🎩
@@MurfatlarAII0 it's called the pebble watch. Its really old technology. I currently use a Ticwatch pro running the full EUC world software.

A blast from the past 🙂 👍
What chin mount did you use?
Just a no name one from Amazon. This one clips onto the chin bar via elastic clips.
@@FlyboyEUC Cool, it seemed to handle the job pretty well though. 👍
there are tire socks for scooters that might fit bigger wheels ;-) (chains if there is ice)
*Yewwwh!* 🤙🏽⚡️🤟🏽⚡️👌🏽
That was a fun ride 🙂 And those cheaters!
It was a fun ride. I'd like to reattempt the full ride now that wheels have come a long way since then.
Cool
In almost two years we no longer have to worry about any of our wheels being able to do anything. Amazing progress if you think about it.
Especially if you look 4 or 6 years back. EUCs have come a long way and it's thanks to the community and reviewers influencing the manufacturers to push the limits and make improvements.

Gorgeous views!
Where exactly is this? Really beautiful Pls reply Thx!!
It's the Alpine scenic by way in Utah County.
Thank you, I'm in Florida but will surely look it up.

Wow! ❤🏔️🌲
I like your commentating. Just do that. I recognize all those roads ;) On pch1, we rip it 45 to 50 mph lol
Reference for the hinges, clamps, and where to order ?
See description for links. All files to print are on printables.
My s22 is out of commission for repairs so I might need to make one of this.
Appreciate the effort but unfortunately it's not useful to compare a new tire to a worn tire. The profile changes with wear, which has a pronounced effect on all facets of handling. It's also an antipattern to inflate both tires to the same pressure if they don't have the same recommended pressure or the same load rating. There's a lot more to tires than meets the eye.
For sure. This was just some off the cuff observations of 2 different tires way before tires became a preference on EUCs. Back then people rode the tire that came with the wheel. Most wheels could only manage 35 mph. Not very many people switched tires. The tire knowledge and preferences have come along way since then. The H666 was sure a step up from the bicycle tires they used to put on EUCs. I still run the H666 on my wheels to this day. It's sufficient for my needs.
Hey did you buy that headlight upgra😢from Clark pads ?😊
@@indianaeuc7617 yes
I just got a T4 pro the farthest I have gone so far is 39 miles and ended with 17%. It's supposed to have a 60-mile range, but I don't think so. I need to find people in San Diego to ride with so I can get better. I have 389 miles on it so far. I have a challenge for someone that is way better than me. I found a little EUC driving course at the new Snapdragon Park. It's under the trolly track by the bamboo forest just a couple steps north toward the stadium.
It's not really smart to be posting yourself doing something illegal.
We all followed the leader who has since been contacted by Griffith Park Rangers and sorted everything out. We now know the rules and try to adhered to them. At least I have 😉. I haven't been back since nir plan to. My one and only visit to the beautiful and amazing Griffith park.
How did the sticky tape hold up instead of using the E6000 adhesive on the ribbed battery boxes? I'm looking at getting the Master Pro V3 kit but was thinking the same thing, that I wouldn't want to glue on the side panels and not be able to remove them in the future for tire change/maintenance. Did using tape work well?
The sticky tape is working well. Just sticky enough to keep things together. The screws do most of the work.
Is there any way to do this with the Commander Mini?
I'm not familiar with the LCD screen on that wheel. If it looks like the begode one, then yes.
@@FlyboyEUC It's different, the transparent plastic only covers the display board and the rest of the cover is non-transparent :(
And... why did you remove the entire pcb from the case?
To gain access to the output voltage. Other commenters said there is an easier way. Just read the comments. I only did what I was told at the time and wanted to document it.
@@FlyboyEUC alright, alright.... It's just that I facepalmed at the and like I haven't in a looong time :p
Thank you so much brother.................................
this is amazing, I think I drove past at one point because I spotted a group ride that inspired and started my journey into the euc rabbit hole
I've just downloaded and printed your STL files from Thingiverse... thanks for making them available. The holders are only 1.5mm wide when you load them into the slicer... why didn't you make them the correct size?
Because I can't control what units the software spits out. 😂 Half the time it's correct the other half it's not. Hopefully it's obvious when you need to scale up by 2540%
@@FlyboyEUC when I loaded the file into the slicer, I couldn't see it (because it was so small). My initial thought was that it didn't work, so I tried a few more times... then I realised and zoomed in and there was several of them there 🤣🤣
Hey awesome video thanks so much for showing us it can double up. I got my one on ebay it's so good. You can turn it off with the remote but can you turn it on with the remote if you know how please tell me
I hate the fact that they make you buy the whole system instead of what Grizzla does.
For good temporary waterproof overboots you can carry two heavy duty builders rubble sacks in your backpack. They won't disintegrate in use, and a quick shake afterwards will have them almost dry to pack away.
Nice ride. If I had my boots on I would have walked through that "tiny" bit of water
I've since inquired with the community on how to best cross "deep" water. I'd be willing to cross it in order to do the full 40 mile loop. It's convincing others that's difficult. I really want to do a group ride here.
The fish eye lens really made that water seem shallow but it was at least axle deep for the EX30.
@@FlyboyEUC It's hard to know at the time of course, but if it was the only crossing I'd be willing. I've carried wheels through water deep than that.
Is there any update on this, did you try free spinning or riding the wheel a few miles? It should come back with all the lights.
I don't think I did freespin the wheel a few times. That probably would have fixed it. This was recorded prior to that fix becoming well known throughout the community.
Do you think if i move both of them forward position i will have trouble with braking?
Probably. Try it out. People who have placed both forward found that it digs in the ground on jumps or when climbing steep things.
Thanks i will try
Hey cool video I just got my one from Ebay. It's awesome. Did you know that you can turn it off from the remote? But I'm now trying to find out if you can turn it on from the remote.? How to turn it off press the triangle one first then the little one on top of it hold it then it will blink and they will turn it off

Very helpful. Thanks!
Definitely want to do this ride if you do the tour again this year.
Loved this ride!
