I work NICU nights people are sweet but always tired. Very calm environment. Takes a certain type of person to recover from nights though. Digestion issues, feeling unrested after sleeping, and brain fog.

I’m considering becoming a nurse specifically so that I can work in the nicu. I was a nicu mom with my twins and the nurses were angels on earth for us. I’m currently a massage therapist, and I love it, but it takes a toll on my body and is not sustainable for earning the income my family needs. I’m binging your videos as I discern my path!

Is there an other way to feed. The nurses taught me to keep them up right . My premie is born 32 weeks . Now she is 34 weeks . I'm afraid to change the position since she is used to the upright way .please advise . Also I struggle towards the end when I have balance 10 ml ish. I had to push up the bottle too high to let the milk reach out .

New grad NICU nurse here for the last 9 months. A great tip I was taught by my preceptor not to have a bloody mess is to put a tiny bit of A&D ointment on the heel and your blood will come out spotless without the mess and will drop into the tubes very precisely and adequately. Works every time

Well yes of course, nobody said we have to have lots of social conversations, being a nurse is a lot to do with having empathy, being responsible, being organised and able to work under pressure at times. All of these things are perfectly possible with a more introvert personality type

Hi Tiffany! Thanks for posting! I just started in the nicu and it's all I ever wanted but it's so much content to learn and I feel overwhelmed. I'm hopeful that if I just keep showing up and trying hard one day I'll feel more confident.

In case anyone reads this. Avoid the place at all costs and for the love of god DO NOT EAT in this establishment. They serve sashimi and other easily spoiled food and there isn't even a kitchen in the building.

The title of your video is very misleading and it appears you’re using the title for clickbait. You’re not quitting bedside nursing anytime soon and you’re planning to become a nurse educator which is not a crazy job change.
