Hello, which book are you referencing in your videos?
You rock my man! Thank you for this 💯
Do you sell these modded pedals?
Etsy, search Lion Tamer by Dr.Watson $35 roughly…just got one and it’s amazing
I own a fairly new one but I don't seem to be able to find the internal trim pot.
Background noise is really bothering me.just do a video , no Background music. Hey it is you video though.
Great video, just what I was looking for 👍
10 out of 10!!!!
I love your video! It help me out so much!!!!
Thanks for the post. You solved my problem!
You are my dude!
lose the music dude! listening to noise over music does not work...and the intro with unlocking doors etc? wasting peoples time, other than that, good job and thank you,
Hello! Good morning, how are you? I recently bought a used VHT V-Drive in very good condition, but when I activate the drive in almost any mode, it makes a high-pitched noise with radio signals. I looked on the internet and it seems to have been a problem with the first batch of pedals. And the bypass/switch in some modes, when turned off, cuts the guitar volume slightly and I need to touch the switch again - but without activating it - so that the signal goes back to true bypass through the pedal. Can you give me some advice so I can get it resolved by a pedal repair technician?
¿Tendrá dañado el Switch?
The absolutely worst instruction video on youtube. Don't quit your day job!
I have one of these Ampeg amps and the buzzing is coming from the tweeter. Was yours buzzing from the speaker?
I was under the impression that we should not be touching the tubes with our bear hand, the oils could cause issues on the glass.
I heard that too. What you don’t see is me washing my hands. Wearing latex to replace them sucks when they are warm. You also can’t really feel the tubes with gloves on.
Spent hours trying to figure out what was causing this problem. Came across this video, barely turned the bias pot and BAM its fixed. Thank you sir!
Just to get this right, you’re using a 100k concentric pot also to substitute R9 which is supposed to be a 10k. Am I missing something, can you explain thanks
Mine were rusted in place. Would not budge. I mounted the wheel directly to the hub, then used a five pound Harbor Freight dead blow hammer (orange plastic) to pound on the outer edge of the wheel. This provided enough leverage to free the hub. The backing plates for the drum brakes were rusted to the hub as well, so I had to tap on it to free it from the hub. Remember to free the sensor cable from the cable guides so it has slack and doesn't get damaged when the hub is pulled out. (2016 Fit LX with 406K miles.)
Thank you for taking the time to describe your experience. I am faced with having to remove my rear bearings to install alignment shims on my 2015 Fit, and I found that my hubs are also rusted in place. I might buy one of these hammers to see if I can break it loose (I am trying to keep my bearings intact so I might try to hit the backing plate instead). Thanks again!
@@patrick19165 Don't hit the backing plate, it's thin metal and will just deform. I considered using a slide hammer to pull the hub free, but I was afraid that the bearing would come apart. Remove the brake drum, remove hub bolts, then mount the wheel to the exposed hub, then swing away. I marred up the face of the dead-blow hammer pretty bad, but no worries it has a lifetime warranty at Harbor Freight. Good luck.
Hola, estoy reparando uno igual se escucha como ronco y se calienta la R28 de 3 ohms y las otras 2 resistencias de 330 ohms también. Será que deba ajustar el preset AP1?
¿Lo reparaste?
Thanks for a really useful and no-nonsense lesson on what needs to be done to fix this pedal. I was almost going to get rid of mine until I found your video. The volume drop was what really made me hate this pedal, but once I added to HiFi mod, I realized just how much the original pedal messed with the tone. Now, the pedal keeps exactly the same tone and volume level, it just adds tremolo. Like it should have in the first place.
Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
DO NOT DO THIS!!! this guy is just measuring the DC Resistance, not the actual impedence. There is no way to covert 4 8 ohm speakers to a 16 ohm impedence. YOU WILL DAMAGE THE OUTPUT TRANSFORMER OF YOUR AMP OVER TIME IF YOU DO THIS!!
I appericate you m8
Do you know the thread diameter of the screw you used to pop out that disk?
Can I do this with two 4ohms, to make an 8ohm?
Just wire the two 4 ohms in series for an 8 ohm load bud.
You skipped all the steps that was needed and not in instructions and didn't tell what screw was for what part 😞
Hey, do you remember how you fixed the pushed in jewel light? My Frontman has the same issue and I want to secure it properly
Kinda hard to hear The Sound of the bearing. When you're playing music, I don't know why people have to use music in the background when they're trying to show us how to do something. No offense just a comment
Its a grinding sound. Pieces of metal rubbing against each other. The faster you drive the louder it gets in the car.
Replace the resistors and elevate the new ones off the board to try to keep them cool.
Thanks. Good idea to try this before considering soldering in a replacement switch.
Super helpful. I have an Ampeg 50 watt combo reissue. Not seeing Ampeg-specific videos, so I’m learning what I can. Thank you for sharing!
Are the front bearings similar removal and installation?
No. Because the front has the brake system
and the axles…
Get yourself some decent cables dude
Is input boost a higher input cap?
You really need more clarity as to which step you are on
Im getting a bad hum from my new rg80 combo single 12. It’s for a light high pitch squill and bad hum. The louder the volume the louder it gets. It only does it when you plug a cable in. Even if guitar isn’t connected yet. No cable it don’t make any sound other than at full throttle you hear a light hiss (normal) unless I have 6 bad cables (not happening)
THank you so much for this tear down. I was so worried about it. Thought my power supply was bad
Thank you
Thank you for this! It helped us build it
can u show all board in hd for my info thx
those 4 screw underneath hold the entire metal casing ?
Yea
@@rsaldana1980 awesome i got the same head but without the wood enclosure at an unbelievable price je ! just one more question do you know what size is the screw so i can go and buy it or do you know any website that sell them thanks :D!!!
Thanks for nothing🙈🙈
Thank you so much!
Next time cut the music when you want folks to hear something...better yet no music at all it is just a distraction.
I was thinking the same thing. Plus he should give more details about bolt torque specs ( assuming he knows).
When I check my resistors do I have the board plugged in.
No. Inspect it unplugged first. Then plug it in and check voltages.
So was this a good purchase?? Im looking to buy a lawn swing currently.
My grandparents love it.
Wait, can you actually put non-polarized film caps in place of the og electrolytics?
Yes sir!!
@@rsaldana1980 thanks a lot
My hub assembly is stuck even after removing the screws!
Rust?
the footswitch setup is unorthodox. it's simple. Both channels red and green are on with footswitch plugged in. The middle pins are ground on the 6 pin. connect ground to the top and bottom on one side and you will get an led to light, and mute the opposite channel. So one side selects the green led and mutes the red channel, where the other selects the red led and mutes the green channel.
