Knife ,Tool & EDC Nerd
South Africa
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 21 ม.ค. 2021
Hey everyone. I am an avid Knife, Multitool and EDC enthusiast based in KZN - Durban South Africa. I have a passion for the outdoors, survival and a good day for me is spent hiking the Drakensburg Mountains in South Africa.
I have always had a love for tools, knives and various useful gear that I find myself using everyday. I also subscribe to the EDC idea whereby a person Everyday Carries certain items which they find useful as they go about their day. Everyone actually does EDC something or another even if its just a mobile phone, watch or car keys.
On this channel I will be reviewing various brands and models of Knives, Tools, Multitools, EDC Gear, Torches and hiking and survival outdoor gear.
If you have any tools, knives or EDC Survival gear you would like reviewed, please feel free to drop me an email.
I hope with the information that I give it will help you with making informed decisions on what to get as your next purchase.

Victorinox Swiss Champ Review

A First look at an immaculate older generation Swiss Champ Tool. I have been after one of these for a few years but those that have them do not easily let them go. I do not enjoy the newer models and when I found this one, Snatched it up quickly as I know the value in this tool.

Believe these where made up by Francois Coetzee, a local South African Maker with some amazing talent based off the quality of these blades. I look fwd to seeing more of his work.

A quick look at the Galaxy watch 5 Pro. Time will tell if it can compete with the Apple Watch Ultra. Similar feature set. Slightly different ways of doing it.

Can't use a ferro rod with this knife as the spine is rounded so make sure you carry a striker as well.
Thanks from Latvia!!!👌🇱🇻🙂
Thank you too!
Thanks for the review. I just purchased one a few days ago, and it seems very sturdy and sharp. It's apart of my edc kit now.
Good to hear! Very good value for the price.
Double edge clinch pick 2.0 is light years ahead.. The tdi Ka bar is ok..
I've got a few multi tool's and for some reason the super tool 300 is the one i pick up when I'm going to work it's old school and i think its got the best tool's it's all in one place and there is nothing to lose everything is all in one place and i like it for that reason an update video would be good if you still have your super tool 300
Change the direction of the sheath and draw into reverse grip
En francais
I've got mine also some weeks ago. Upgraded to Mikarta.
*inside inaccessible.
🏳️🌈 knife review
United Cutlery is a Joke.
That clip sucks. Needs to be on belt with a clip to hold it there Inside the waistband. Nothing wrong with the knife.
I really like the super tool 300 because it's all in one know small bits to lose this is a great multi tool thanks for sharing this video with us maybe you can do an update video of it thanks 👍
What type is the blade steel?
Yes, got one too🪃🇦🇺
Mine is pre much all I use.
Brilliant Review - very informative
Gayest music ever
It's really not much of a gimmick because the slingshot is actually powerful and will cause serious damage in self defense or hunting. It's a cool idea for camping etc.
Properties of Pickled Steel Pickled steel refers to a surface treatment process used to remove impurities, such as stains, inorganic contaminants, rust, or scale, from ferrous metals, including steel. This process involves immersing the metal in a solution called pickle liquor, which typically contains acid, to chemically react with and dissolve the unwanted surface impurities. Key Benefits Removes oxide scale and heat tint created during welding and heat treating Dissolves steel flecks embedded in the part Enhances surface cleanliness and prepares it for further processing, such as passivation Improves corrosion resistance and overall metal quality Acid Types Used Hydrochloric acid (HCl) Sulfuric acid (H2SO4) Nitric acid (HNO3), phosphoric acid (H3PO4), or hydrofluoric acid (HF) may be used for steels with high carbon content (>6%) Process Overview The metal surface is immersed in the pickle liquor for a predetermined time. The acid reacts with and dissolves the impurities, leaving a clean and smooth surface. After pickling, the metal is typically rinsed and dried to prevent oxidation. By removing surface impurities and contaminants, pickled steel ensures a higher-quality finish, improved corrosion resistance, and enhanced overall metal performance .
really imformative. In this case it a local South African brand that imports and has some custom designs as well. 🙂
Picked Steel has great designs. I am still waiting for the Nomad I bought on pre order 10 weeks ago. Let's hope it comes soon
Truly sry about the delay order is complete except for that one that is still in production
Awesome set. Thanks for sharing
I have one of these for defence. I live in a terrible country where violent crime is round every corner. EDC is essential in the UK.
did you notice the spine has uneven milling left/right?
did you notice the spine has uneven milling left/right?
weird thing, all ganzo d704 in d2 I've checked out have imperfect CNC''ing, if that's a word. there's an uneven milling on the top of the blade.
I have the gold stone wash tiger stripe version
Could it be more bulky?
I have quite a few Ganzo knives but this one may be my favorite. It is very comfortable in the hand and the action works great. There is just something about this knife that makes it very nice. I have to say that everyone that picks up this knife likes it.
Which model
Conqueror
Si sacas o cortas esos pines del lado interior puedes usar para medir diodos y capacidad
Can the sheath go on the right side of pants?
Nice knife
Isn’t this just a cold steel knock off?
Same one I gave glows to mine more grippy
I have NEBO Davinci 5000l how to charge light out I plug lights green so idk can I charge off of battery bank please comment or I'm burn it out it's from Walmart so idk seems like charge from battery idk ????? Please comment ASAP!!
Picture a pry bar, now picture again a pry bar thats sharpened, thats what the Schrade 51 and 52 are all about. I've seen a pry bar with the same thickness of the Schrade 52 being used to lift a bit a 1400 lb safe on concrete garage floor, now thats what these Schrade blades can do if using it in that capacity for a few minutes or so.
Give my pla 😢😢😢❤
I have this knife with the shoulder harness, but it doesn't work well for carry
For those complaining that thr Nebo won't work or charge up, did you remove the head, unscrew the head from the body, remove the plastic disc from thr battery that prevents thr battery from draining, install the battery, and screw the head back on? That should allow it to work just fine and charge up just fine.
I can't find the instructions to do that anywhere and I don't want to damage the flashlight in the process of trying to figure it out. I just bought it and can't figure it out.
@@romeoj.7481: Same here. I can’t figure out how to find the battery and there are no instructions on the package. I’m returning it for a refund.
@leeb.7188 I figured it out. Below the head of the flashlight where you can change the intensity is a point of connection between the neck and the head. It doesn't look like you can twist it but if you hold the head with one hand and the neck below the head with the other hand you can twist the head off and see the battery. Let me know if it works.
@@romeoj.7481it’s to stupid how hidden it is there should be a simple port somewhere obvious with a plastic plug to protect from water, stupid charger design can’t find it
Nice! I am sitting here watching this video with my Cold Steel 4max Scout in the black handle scales myself.
what the hell is this backround music
I dunno. Looks like a perfectly acceptable edc to me.
Extra weight to carry and busy BS .
Is it any good for splitting wood?
Just scored a clone in d2 👍
I saw it on amazon and for $30 Canadian i figured what the heck. Thanks for the review, i think itll ne a fun knife to own
its illegal in canada and i somehow got ahold of it at a liquidation store
What makes it illegal? I bought it on Amazon as a cheap knife & Amazon doesn't sell illegal things. I'm also in Canada. It's not even spring assisted when you open the knife, you've gotta really go for it.
It's not illegal in Canada @@Halluzinate
*Amazing*
I purchased one from Amazon for 63 dollars and I like it alot. Ty for video review.
