Thanks Mike for solving this long standing problem with the Roland 7x. My original display unit has been replaced a number of times now and Roland has ceased supplying replacement display panels so I will be putting my order in for your enlarged display screen. Congratulations and thanks again for your efforts in assisting Roland FR 7x accordion players.

I bought a new display for my Roland FR-7x as I have 2 lines across the display so I could not see what it showed. I have had contact with Roland Denmark, who could not help me with a new display as Roland did not produce it anymore. I watched this video on TH-cam and contacted Mike. Very kind man and very helpful. I can only say that if you want a better and bigger display for your accordion, then you need to buy this display. It's super good. You can change it yourself. It took me about 2 minutes to change it. It was very easy. Thanks for that Mike. Greetings Thomas from Denmark.

I just installed Mike’s larger replacement display since my original FR-7x display was failing. What a great improvement: brighter, clearer, and excellent fit and finish. The job took ten minutes and was really simple. Mike’s directions, support and follow-up are first-rate. Thanks so much.

Well done indeed. Considering what these accordions cost I'd expect spares to be available for around 20 years not just until a later model is produced. Having watched a number of repairs to these accordions they seem to be a plastic box with some pcb boards likely out of a keyboard with none of the complexity of traditional instruments, no levers, reeds just rubber membranes. The small runs doubtless result in high costs but there must be some massive profits in these. An accordion shouldn't just be another consumer product.
