Why it is Important to Conquer Moon Before Mars?
Colonizing Mars has undoubtedly been one of the longest-standing human milestones for space exploration! In recent years and with the discovery of ice on the planet, this urge has only been amplified, and the general interest in the colonization of the red planet has risen even further! However, before we can conquer Mars, we’ll first have to set up base at our own satellite, The Moon! In today’s video, we’ll be delving deep into the key reasons Why it is Important to Conquer the Moon Before Mars!

    It's interesting to see how far we've come with our Space ventures. Ten years ago going to Mars was off the table, and now we're literally only a few steps to going there. Quite an unbelievably fast development, I have to say.

    Thing is, I'm old. I remember the Mariner missions. I remember Carl Sagan talking about the Viking Lander. Even then, I thought back to my Science Classes and the fact that valleys on Earth are warmer than mountain tops and the air pressure is higher. I was a dumb farm boy and I figured that out. What the hell took NASA so long?

    Newsflash. It's not going to work. Our current level of technology does not allow for a one size fits all kind of solution. Anyway, forget about Mars. We need spacehabitats and spacedocks

    Before any colonization can happen on Mars, a way to generate a magnetic filed will have to be found first. Without that, colonizing is very dangerous. I wonder why this fact is never mentioned in videos like this.

    • @Roguescienceguy
      @Roguescienceguy หลายเดือนก่อน

      There's no point colonising Mars, but that being said. There are already several solutions to your problem. The most solid one is a sattelite parked just a bit past the L1-lagrange point with a huge wiremesh that opens up like a half a mile wide umbrella. It's given a positive charge and thus pushes the solar wind away. Because it is pulled towards the sun through gravity it counterbalances that with the wiremesh that acts as a solar sail. The magnetic field thingy is easy, it's the toxic soil laiden with sulfates and perchlorate that's going to be the deal-breaker.

    space x has achieved nothing significant that hasn`t been done since 1970 ( well then we were doing doughnuts on the moon ) and the mars colony is so ludicrous that why you even saying its a thing ? its worse than hyperloop fantasy .

    I always thought the Sun was further from Earth than Mars is to Earth. Sun is 92 million miles from Earth and Mars is 142 million miles from Earth, wow! there's no way Mars can be colonized in our lifetime or the next few lifetimes.

      At its closest orbit its like 28 million miles actually which is when we launch a rocket to intercept mars months later in its path

    • @Roguescienceguy
      @Roguescienceguy หลายเดือนก่อน

      No it's not. Mars is only 1,5AU from the sun(on average) and we are obviously 1AU from the sun. Don't forget that both planets are orbiting the sun so the distances will vary due to where said planet is in its orbit. Get your facts right😉

    What is incredible to me is the fact that Spacex developed everything in a relative few years as compared with what NASA has done. This Proves, at least to me, that a non government run company is ALWAYS more efficient and probably safer. Fact is NASA is run at the whim of the President of the United States which is presently a joke -the president that is.
