I have always loved Helpless Helpless Helpless, finding this video really touched my heart ❤️ I cried all day when Bowie died. I feel this song so strongly, my mother passed on 3-19-24, I didn’t know it would hurt more than anything. My dad is dying, in hospice, he is deaf with dementia, so sad because he loved music, I am praying for my dad, and my 5 siblings ❤I’m forgetful right now, I adored Patty Smith, on Helpless!!! She rocks

Neil Young has dealt with polio, type 1 diabetes, epilepsy, back surgery, brain aneurysm surgery. Yet he has created and continues to create the music of my life. He has done this with courage of conviction and tireless passion for his music. I have no doubt he is a flawed hero, I have no doubt he wrestles with his own demons. But when I hear his music, I am carried away to another world and I feel renewed. He has saved my life. I am grateful for Neil Young.

This is the most beautiful and descriptive song that Neil has ever written and sung. His past beginning and so heartfully sung. I was there in my time when he sung it first. Go Neil, and hope you continue to remember your beginnings. Blessing to you.

There's no denying the beauty of this wonderful song. I still remember the first time I heard it, on a local Public Radio station. I could tell it was Emmylou Harris. But, not who the harmony singer was. I soon got it cleared up. For all its beauty, I want to give it a different shading, for a minute. The message of the singer comes across to me as an urgent plea, begging someone they know to be tenacious, and hang onto life. In my experience,the old saying, 'one day at a time', isnt always good enough. Sometimes you have to try an hour at a time. Then, maybe even 5 minutes at a time. The figures I just gave are littleral. But, I think another something that's very fundamental is implied in the rest of the story. The things mentioned, like being cradled in someone's arms, tender kisses, and wearing someone's ring, are likely being implied, and missing in the hearer's life. If they weren't, maybe they wouldn't be thinking about giving up. Even so, of course we hope the one in the lions mouth finds the ability to not just hold on, but to flourish--no matter I've seen both sides of the situation. If I was feelng like giving up, I'd like to hear a message like this one being offered to me, including the kind invitations and Maybe it would help turn the tide. I don't put these little symbols these in my comments, much. But, under the circumstances, Ill do it here, in case someone out here is hurting that badly. Believe me, I've been there.🎉 ❤❤❤❤❤
