Just a quick comparison between two entry level trolley jacks. Both are good buys. I did fail to include that the Pittsburgh jack would include a lifetime warranty...so it's pretty much a wash.

How are they holding up?
They looked great for a long time. I actually just did it again this past May. So I got about 6 years out of it.
I have 5 of the 5k in my shop and flicker is a problem for me with these lights. One light in particular is worse than the rest but they all flicker to some extent. I have had them for about 3 years now.
Mine just started to do that.
A little bit of vinegar he said
Caveat emptor. Hyper Tough is not worth the money and Walmart does not honor the Hyper Tough Warranty. 😠
I bought this drill set (at W_M) a few years before I retired. Mostly for doing little jobs around the house. I've had it quite awhile and it is still going and has served me well. Should have got a 2nd battery, cause I haven't been able to find one.
Maybe a coat of clear coat after can help last ?
Yes that's the way to clean rust from chains and anything with rust. Works fantastic.
Does this take a 20 volt battery?? Or do I need to buy another charger for the 18 volt battery?
My tow chains on my little trailer are removable with one of the links being threaded at the trailer frame. I simply remove the chains, 2 three footers, and hang them in my garage out of the weather til the next use. Also spray a bit of WD40 on the chains to protect them. No more rust problems and can be quickly reinstalled.
I have a ton of logging chains, all rusted, probably 50 plus years old, but guess what... They still work just fine. they don't have to look good folks.. they're just chain for pulling and securing.
I'm so happy for you.
This is so gay, i got Aids watching it
Tried this, works great. Thanks

Use diesel
The question from me is "Why would you clean a chain?" other than maybe knock the mud off?
Why wouldn’t you ?
I've never used vinegar or another acid, nor have I thought to drag them behind a vehicle, but I have cleaned several chains in my concrete mixer. I add some dry sand and let the chains tumble for a couple of hours. When I've finished the tumbling phase I dump everything out and spray the chain with WD-40.
You don't need to do all that, take your jug get some diesel fuel put it in the bucket pull it out next day shiny clean
Make a video showing that. Post it. Drop the link in my comments and if it works just as well I’ll pin the comment up top.
You should have done the review before you started boozing it up. Crappy review. We don't care if you like it. We want to see a comparison of which is better at keeping the beer cold. If you still have both, sober up and try again.
The whole point of the video is they both work about equally the same and if there is a measurable difference in performance between the two and it’s noticeable to your delicate mouth, you’re probably taking too long to drink your beer. There’s already scientific comparison videos out there on the subject but thanks for coming out Karen.
How effective would a coat of paint on the newly-cleaned chains be? I have just come into a pretty heavy tow chain and it's pretty rusty.....I'll need to clean it up and I'd like to paint it afterwards. I guess I'll hang it up and spray paint it best I can. Thoughts?
Now in 2022 it's $39.99, I just brought one from Harbor freight.
2024 here and Pittsburgh is $34.99 and Hyper Tough $33.88. Wal-Mart has nearly doubled in price. Wow!
@BradW. you must have brought it from this weekend sale?
@primetime8717 I was hoping to but haven't gotten it yet. The closest store is a little out of the way. That's why I was watching though. 👍
@@BradW. you can order online and have them ship it to your house.
Great fix, thank you very much.
Came back to this after some time.
For anyone who's interested, muriatic acid works better and a lot faster. Just don't forget to neutralize it with baking soda water when you're done. Most hardware stores sell it. I would add, if your chain is Galvanized you should not use any acid because this will remove the galvanization and simply putting it in a 5 gallon bucket full of sand and rolling it or dragging it through some sand behind a truck would be your best bet.
What about phosphoric acid?
@@GG-ry9vp Don't know, never tried it.
@@travisdoe4663lmk what it taste like
Coat them with "a little bit" of vinegar 🤣
I also have had pretty good results with this product, don't expect it to kill them in two or three days. It takes a while but they do not grow back.
Thank you for video
What do you do with the used vinegar afterwards?
He pours it on your moms head instead of the usual golden shower that she requests....wtf kinda question is that?
Clean the coffee pot
I got this one as a present a few years ago and I love using it. The 2 speed setting (lack of one) isn't a big deal to me because of the power. The settings of power (from 1-20 on the dial) work well and can be set to adapt to the specific job you're doing. Great drill in my opinion!
my name is Eric. does this really have to be grounded and under what conditions
drag it behind your truck on gravel rd
Hey if it has the wheel kit does it still need to be grounded
If you use extension cords you do not need it grounded, this is what I read
does it really need to be grounded.
@@anotherperson6460 Thanks! We figured it out.
THx for the effort. I was more interested on how to keep them rust free again WD 40 only works only for a while if always out like mine. Bought my dog chain from a pet shop. it's about 3,4 mm gauge, Can't remember what it is made of (obviously steel based) I'm just surprised it rust so easily. So will keep repeating wire brushing and WD 40 for the time being.
I got this drill 12/20/20 and it seems that the battery is dead and won't charge. the replacement is about 20.00 but I barely used it. the drill was cheaper than the battery. I think I will look at a different brand next purchase. Great for light work though.
Helpful
FPM makes a difference when sanding softer woods.. slower speeds work better and sometime the opposite is true for harder woods. The faster you go ,the less time the paper has to cut into the surface.
if its not a big ass chain i would think putting a lid on the bucket and shaking the shit out of it would help finish it off really good!
great. thanks.
Definitely not rusted compared to mine! 😂
Why people so concerned if their chains are rusty? What are you doing with a chain that surface rust matter?
It looks like crap, hanging on the rack on your truck.
I bought a few chains, all but one were zinc plated. Zinc plated is the way to go, no rusting. My one chain that isn't zinc plated...yeah, it's rusting. Actually I already knew the vinegar trick, I was looking to see what kind of oil you'd suggest using afterward. Now I know - WD 40. Which I have. Thanks!
Zinc will rust, I pull flatbed and all my chains start out with the shiny zinc. After dragging them around and using them, they'll flake n rust .
I like used motor oil with a little diesel added to thin it. Hang the chain up to drip afterwards. Dip it again as needed to fight the rust.
Worked good till I screwed down a deck too hard for it, striped something, slips when alot of torque applied
I picked one up yesterday and it didn't charge long at all for that green light to come on despite the instructions stating it will need to be charged 4-5 hours for first time use. It's okay for polishing headlights. For that price you pretty much get what you pay for. IMO
How long does it last tho?
I've since gotten rid of that vehicle but the shutters I did in the other video are just now faded some and that was about 3 years ago..
🤔 Hhum well I'll be damned you learn something new everyday and 👍🏼😂😂
Thanks to let me know i allmost got oye on walmart
Wow, I’m pretty sure ur happy wit ur purchase,
I've used it. It takes a while to work but it does work. It was like 3 weeks.
What oil was used ?
Canola.
