@Grace Kelly. I graduated from both Notre Dame (undergraduate degree in physics) and Florida (MS in Mechanical Engineering). I am sorry to learn you were treated harshly at Ben Hill Griffith Stadium in Gainesville. As an old Gen X guy who went to Notre Dame when Holtz was coaching, I have to emphasize respect for visiting fans - especially the daughters of the coaches. I have six master's degrees (I know - an absurd "hobby" - lol). I went back to SMC to get my most recent MS in Data Science online. As you know, SMC is essentially a women's Catholic College. But the graduate school began admitting men about 8 years ago. I got my MS in 2023 at SMC. Go figure - the "Zahmbie" who went to SMC. But the point is that respect for young women is part of the teaching of ND/SMC. So, I hope you understand some of us ND/FL graduates prefer to stay civil at games. I don't drink alcohol and usually just stand at the archways on the upper levels when at Ben Griffith. I don't even sit. Even as a Florida graduate with an alumni shirt, I have also dealt with vitriol from an occasional Florida fan - usually someone who is drunk. But just know there are many other Florida fans out there who prefer to stay civil like me. It's unfortunate you saw the bad side. But there is a good side out there too. I know it's the same with LSU at their stadium.
