Riding the Xiaomi SU7 Max electric car at the Beijing factory
Xiaomi invited several tech writers to its EV factory in Beijing, and we got a quick ride on the high-end SU7 Max electric car there. It was quite an experience, partly thanks to Xiaomi's very own HyperEngine V6s.

SU7 Max is very exciting, but I'm also really excited about the technology Xiaomi are using to build these. Very very cool to see. Just wish and hope they can find a way to sell these in the west.

Agreed. I think it'll sell well in Hong Kong too, if it ever enters that market.

It's incredible how much bullshit these sales people can tell without even blinking. That flashing when changing the image is not an intentional "cyberpunk effect", it's just how these displays work.

I dont care about Lid imagery and gimmicks!! I cant see them, no point. Instead do that but for the keyboard area or whrre you place your hands when typing! NOW THAT WOULD BE AWESOME CAUSE I CAN FEEL THE ART AS A LIVING PART OF MY LAPTOP EXPERIENCE.

I really hope they allow the end user to use that panel as a screen as well (10hz is good enough for showing things that aren't gaming or videos.

10s to refresh the page = 0.1 Hz. That's not a screen but a photo frame

@@dangquangminh1336 thought that was a misspell. Ouch. Yes on the photo frame though.

No definition or clarity in anything. Pretty much everything seems blurry without any well defined lines or features. I would think a 6k video downsampled to 4k like this would have some good definition but it can't even capture the faces of the passing people or any definition on the airport fence.
