Sam's ideas for governing are refreshing. It's like having a candidate that is one of us! Sam's one suggestion to ask non-residents pay a bit more in taxes was right on the money. SO MANY FULL TIME RESIDENTS WOULD SUPPORT THIS, SAM COULD WIN ON THIS ONE POSITION. You've got ONE week Sam- you have to get your message out. You'd solve about 5 problems all at once. Out-of-state people have been buying all our property, often sight unseen. Their purchases sit vacant while we have the worst housing crisis in the history of the state. Many buy 2-3 properties, others dozens. Use as vacation rentals (airBnB) ruins neighborhoods, puts residents at risk, violates zoning, skirts motel sales tax, encourages rowdy unsupervised groups- 1 after another, do not provide adequate sanitation and cuts into Maine's motel & hotel industry-- that do follow strict laws. Many of the larger investors buy multiple properties, raise rent to unaffordable prices, advertise the rent but have no intention of ever having occupants for the purpose of creating the largest possible loss that can be deducted from taxable income- along with other property deduction and they still retain and accumulate value on their investment. This scheme is more profitable and as it stands more secure, than investing in the stockmarket. Our young people can't find a 1st home, so we now have a renter's crisis. On top of this, during COVID out-of-staters came here and occupied subsidized housing. Asking our non-residents to pay more- goes far beyond the fact that they don't contribute Maine Income Tax. From our Motel industry, to building all around our pristine isolated lakes which were one of our greatest tourist's assets, to blocking residents from even viewing the seashore- yet expecting their road to be maintained and trash picked up... is just an aggrevation compared to the housing crisis these out-of-state parisites have caused. Maine has so many vacant properties and yet there is no place for workers, families or students to live and yet neither Mills nor Lepig had a viable solution. Maine needs a Governor like you Sam. Someone who dares to call out the real problem and has a solution to fix it.

{[(HE=IS=A=RE+WARDER of those that diligently seek him); (John 8:31-32); (Hebrews 11)]}. Use the Key of David, or be ashamed (deceived). It is key to having the seal of God in your forehead (mind); Revelation 7; 9:4. Proverbs 1:7 King James Version (KJV) 7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. 2 Thessalonians 2 - the false Christ (Satan), will come to earth claiming to be God (6th trump). Christ Jesus returns at the 7th trump, not until = [Hebrews 9:26-28 (ONCE, AT THE END) = 1 CORINTHIANS 15:52 (AT THE LAST TRUMP) = 1 THESSALONIANS 4:17. Scripture is backed by 2, or more witnesses]. The pre-tribulation rapture doctrine is false teaching. Christ is returning for a virgin bride. Those that worship the false Christ (Satan) thinking he is the true Christ will no longer be spiritual virgins (Matthew 24:19; 25:1-13; Luke 21:23). Oil in the lamp = truth = God's Word & The Holy Spirit. The virgins rejected have "snake oil" (deceit; falsities; lies) in their lamps. Satan spreads confusion through false teaching. People often accept (wo)men's words, teachings, or doctrine as truth when it is false. THE ANY-MOMENT DOCTRINE, & PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE DOCTRINE = SATAN'S SNARE = FALSE TEACHING. Satan masquerades as an angel of light (he will pretend / claim to be Christ); (2 Corinthians 11:14 - "disguised; masquerades)." Guarding a lie with truth, Satan has many in the dark about the true plan of God (Hosea 4:6). Judgment starts at the pulpit (1 Peter 4:17; Ezekiel 9). Those that hear the truth, yet do not share it can be turned over to a reprobate mind (2 Thessalonians 2:7-12). No one can ignore scripture, and be wise. A counterfeit spirit mimics the Holy Spirit, people often mistake (evil) when it stands in the role of the genuine (Holy Spirit) on matters that an individual is deceived about because it seems holy to them.

Who declared that for society to be “fair” everythang must be distributed per the demographic? If I were a woman who could leverage my gender, I would not waste that on STEM where three days a week are spent in mind and butt numbing project, budget and schedule status meetings, where creativity is stifled by risk averse managers who fear looking bad and career advancement is found kissing up the big dogs after work in fern bars and Saturday morning golf games. STEM is Dilbert plus Caddy Shack. Who would choose that if there were another way?

Susan Collins voted to acquit the self-confessed traitor in Chief in his Impeachment. Trump is squawking about his good ratings as Americans die in a pandemic . She voted for yet another Big Business Bailout. She voted for Brett Kavanaugh for SCOTUS. She's fighting to scrap the Affordable Care Act during a pandemic. Her politically corrupt voting record speaks for itself. Do the people of Maine believe there isn't a better Senator out there ? Vote against every single Republican you can find in November. Time to shove these crooks out of office! #medicare4all #stayhome #voteblue

Mr. Connor, It is "the will of the people" of Maine that in Question 2 is stiring up all of us & rightfully so. Funding Education was the driving force for Question 2. I have spent many years as a resident of Maine & Pres. of a Non Profit Org. to bring new information to several Joint Committees within our Legislature, only to be rebuked for that effort & shut down at Public Hearings on bills that could be positively influenced by the scientific research work I wish to share. This work would greatly reduce EPS funding needs, and much more. I have attended many Committee meetings attempting to introduce what is innovative and new and has never been done before. But there is no platform to bring this unique work forward even though the ESSA (2015) federal law suggests consideration of Community input & programs. The Ed. Committee answer to this had been to include Task Force on Public Private Partnerships that look to Harvard to represent all of us in the Community. I have walked our Maine Legislative halls for 17 and not had any request for this work that will change all Education & EPS services. Maine State School Management Association will only consider research that comes within the Maine State School University system, I am so glad to finally see the residence of Maine do something---the Education system is imploding with new laws & the same Student protections already in place that now are even more restrictive to Innovative work. My work brings immediate results-first step takes 15 minutes of classroom time. It has had years of DOE Commissioners & State School Board members approval, but to move forward it needs a letter FROM THEM to Superintendents. Because...they are not accessible & will not step out of their locked box to consider new research but relies on the MSMA to provide it. The Student has needs still unmet & also there is one solution I know right here---still unknown to Educators that will greatly reduce the cost of Education in Maine and directly fix this tax problem. We want more business in Maine to promote our economy-- They will come - but first to bring them here & keep them here. Look at What is Right Here Already First. Future Visions Youth Development, Inc a 501c3 non profit org. Thank you!

This conversation was excellent for the public in all regards. Due to limitation of space here; with reference to Sen. Collin's most astute enumeration of the 3 critical issues- #1 Bio/medical, I most recently-12/6/16- provided to her, Sen. King & Rep. Pingree, a one -page document. That page was on a most important and "unknown area of concern" for Education within the HR 34 bill that just passed. Although it appears this HB34 bill has a focus of merit to Substance abuse, I suggest within it is another larger " hidden " agenda. There is a Solution to Illiteracy that has had NO VOICE in the past. It requires this most historic group's awareness & full understanding so errors of the past do not continue in the future. But alas, these snippets of time allowed for me to speak to date in 25 years of effort to inform all -will no longer SAVE OUR CHILDREN. Unless we address this bill and bring that Solution to Illiteracy to the forefront now & for the public to know, Education cost will continue to escalate when the "rest of the story" could conceivably restore our Nations Budget. Thank you
