This clip was from a sermon on 1 Peter 3. To your comment though. There is no disagreement or discord between Peter, Paul, or the Gospels. Our church states: "God gave His written revelation progressively by holy men whom He chose, and inspired and infallibly guided to write inerrantly and completely the revelation of His will..." Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, Paul, James, & etc. were all infallibly guided by the Holy Spirit to write his inerrant and complete word.

    Hello sir I have a question there was a time when I was little and being angry and cursing at god and then doing something similar a few years later but being angry and throwing my anger at god accusing him of how “all he does is play with his food” I then realized the grave mistakes I made and how I should have been looking for god instead of being angry at him during my times of pain I fear that god may not forgive me anymore because of it love to hear your thoughts on this thank you for reading

      Hi @NathenManny-i5j The apostle Paul was not always a Christian. His name was Saul once and he persecuted the church wanting to destroy the name of Jesus. But then he was saved. So here's my question? Is your hope in Jesus Christ? - Then there is hope. If you are in Christ Jesus there is now no condemnation. - Did you sin in your thoughts about God and blaspheme as you say, yes. But He is greater than our sins. If we confess our sins He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleans us from all of our unrighteousness. - Have you strayed from Him and are grieved by your sin and desire to return to the green pastures? - Then this is not apostasy but the prodigal straying who can be welcomed back. - Do you fear and grieve that you may have committed the unpardonable sin and desire fellowship with God? - Then it is most likely that you have not. For those who commit this sin have no fear of God and no desire to be with him. They have tasted the heavenly gift and it is repulsive to them. If you still have air in your lungs and have not willfully and persistently rejected the only hope of forgiveness in Jesus Christ then there is still hope. Our only hope in life and death is in Jesus Christ. You may find this helpful. Reformed Presbyterian Testimony Chapter 2 Paragraph 11: The sin against the Holy Spirit which will not be forgiven, commonly called the unpardonable sin, is the final-secret or open-rejection of His testimony concerning Jesus Christ. It is a sin unto death, because it is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, and because, by its very nature, it is the willful and persistent rejection of the only hope of forgiveness through the Savior. On the other hand, the fear of having committed this sin, together with an earnest desire for fellowship with God in Christ, give evidence that this sin has not been committed. 1 Thess. 5:19; Acts 7:51; Heb. 10:26-29; Matt. 12:31-32; Mark 3:28-30; Luke 12: 8-10; 1 Cor. 12:3; 1 John 5:16; Heb. 6: 4-6; 1 John 2:22; 1 John 4:3; Isa. 50:10; 1 John 1:7; Heb. 6:9-11.

    Sometimes in winter, when the sky is blue and the sun is shining, the trees are covered all over with white frost crystals-every blade of grass, every twig and branch glistens, dressed in frost, white and shimmering. The sunlight catches on it, making it gleam, and when the wind blows, the glittering frost dances through the air, visible for a moment, like tiny stars set free. Sometimes. Not every year, but sometimes. "Thank you, dear God, for making the world so beautiful."

    I understand it's your job and mission to to make the bible make sense but I feel you downplayed this one way to much. It's just wrong in so many ways but I get it that it's hard to admit the bible was wrong tainted with man's words. I could go on and on but the main factors are it's literally murder of girls not women and the abilities of corruption on the man's part. Thanks for sharing.

    • @reformedchurch
      @reformedchurch หลายเดือนก่อน

      Please go back and listen carefully. In the Ancient Near East nearly 3500 years ago this law was not for "murder of girls not women" or so that men could somehow be corrupt in their own conduct. This was a restriction of baseless, false, and slanderous accusations against women. This was, with the knowledge they had at that time, a system of justice. If the point was for the "abilities of corruption on man's part" why include at all the part of the man's punishment if he's found to be a liar? It would have only mentioned the woman if that was the case. Jesus said that Moses gave them laws like divorce because of their sinfulness. So here, this law was given at that time, to restrain sin. The general equity of this law was establishing faithfulness in marriage, justice, as well as truth.

    • @markhaunert5029
      @markhaunert5029 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @reformedchurch " a system of justice " that's interesting considering the penalties were vastly different and these were supposed to be laws from God so being from so long ago is irrelevant. I've read it many times and have seen quite a few discussions on D. 22: :13 21 from atheist to Christian teachings but they all have taken a more moral and honest take. The fact that vast majority were just children alone is horrible initself so there's a good probability if the girls weren't virgins it was from a unwanted situation and if they lied it would be from trama and fear. I just feel like you painted this off with a misogynistic brush. Thanks for responding.

      22:13-19 A man could take a wife and subsequently divorce her, but not without being challenged in many instances. He could not slander or impugn her. A Babylonian dossier from the reign of Samsu-iluna (c. 1749-1712 BC) touches on a provision in the Code of Hammurapi involving a charge of the Ama-sukkal against his bride of not being a virgin when he married her. His charge was not sustained. Charges against a virgin in the laws of Lipit-Ishtar also failed. It was of great value to a woman, her father and her family for her to be a virgin at marriage. Cases at Mari and Nippur indicate that a betrothed woman who was penetrated before marriage had broken her vow and could be divorced. 22:21 the men of her town shall stone her to death. This penalty is not paralleled in the ancient Near East if the sexual activity was understood to have taken place before a betrothal. This legal equality between a married woman and a betrothed woman is mirrored in various laws of the ancient Near East. In the Laws of Eshnunna (Law 26), a man who rapes a betrothed daughter is executed. The woman’s death by stoning demonstrated that this was not a “sacrificial” act. Craig S. Keener and John H. Walton, eds., NIV Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible: Bringing to Life the Ancient World of Scripture (Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan, 2016), 332.

      22:13-16 The first case pertains to a marriage in which a man, having consummated the relationship, rejects (so Heb. śānēʾ here) his wife publicly by accusing her of not being a virgin at the time of the marriage (vv. 13-14). The “proof of her virginity” (lit., “I did not find virginity [bĕtûlîm] with respect to her”) would be the bloodstained sheets resulting from a ruptured hymen (cf. v. 17). Evidently the bride retained the telltale cloth (described as a śimlâ, “covering,” in v. 17), for her parents could present it to the town elders to contest the husband’s allegations (v. 15). If the cloth indeed bore proof of the girl’s virginity, her parents had good basis for their claim that the husband had rejected her for reasons other than those he professed. He had come to despise (śānēʾ, as in v. 13) her and tried to shift the onus onto her in order to be more gracefully free of the relationship. 22:17-19 Once the incriminating evidence had been presented and accepted as such by the elders, they would administer appropriate punishment to the lying husband. This consisted of a fine of a hundred shekels of silver to be paid to the bride’s father as compensation for sullying the name (i.e., reputation) of the maiden and, by implication, that of her family. Moreover, the husband had to maintain the marriage as long as he lived (v. 19). The amount of the fine was considerable relative to that economy. David, for example, later bought Araunah’s threshing floor and oxen for only fifty silver shekels (2 Sam 24:24). Such an enormous penalty would clearly deter young husbands from such frivolous and fallacious allegations. The reason the money was given to the bride’s father and not to her is obvious, for to give to her would, in effect, result in the husband’s retaining it for himself. The payment to the father was not compensation for actual loss but for damages, that is, for the dishonor that accompanied such charges against his daughter, as baseless as they might be. An even more severe punishment in such cases was the talionic justice implicit in the husband’s inability ever to free himself of his wife. He had tried to rid himself of her by duplicity but now must forever remain in union with her. One must wonder about the misery of a woman in such circumstances, but at least she would mother a line of descendants. Moreover, it is quite possible that she could have initiated divorce herself if the situation deemed it necessary or desirable. 22:20-21 Occasionally, of course, the husband’s accusations would have substance and the evidence of virginity would not be forthcoming (v. 20). Should this occur, the woman must be stoned to death and at the door of her father’s house at that! Just as an unfounded accusation brought undeserved dishonor to the father’s name, one that could be proved brought justified dishonor. The reason is that the girl had clearly had sexual intercourse before her marriage, an act described here as “being promiscuous.” This translates the Hebrew ʿāśĕtâ nĕbālâ, literally, “She has done a disgraceful thing” in Israel. This formula occurs frequently to speak of a moral or spiritual breakdown of such proportions as to impact the whole covenant community negatively (cf. Gen 34:7; Judg 19:23; 20:6, 10; Jer 29:23). Only her death at the hands of the community could remove the disgrace brought about by her deed (cf. Deut 17:12; 19:13; 21:21; 22:24; Judg 20:13). Eugene H. Merrill, Deuteronomy, vol. 4, The New American Commentary (Nashville: Broadman & Holman Publishers, 1994), 302-304.

      I'm going to take your comment as sincere and will ask you a set sincere of questions. - Is your hope in Jesus Christ? - Then there is hope. - Do you believe and yet struggle with disbelief? - Then there is hope. Confess your belief to God and ask Him to help your disbelief. I can’t believe this video doesn’t have A LOT of views. This is so simple, yet profound. To teach the scripture as though to a toddler will truly help. I believe a lot of adult Christians desire to be taught like this. Keep up the good work, sir. Thank you. And thank you, little Lady.

    Romans 13: Clearly those antivaxers who call themselves Christians don't read the scriptures. As Christians we shouldn't be talking about our rights but rather helping others and even taking risks to protect others, if not yourself.

      Great questions! We are part of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America. Below I'll quote what our denomination confesses on this topic. I hope you'll find it helpful 🙂 Here's what the Westminter Confession of Faith says on this in the 29th chapter "On the Lord's Supper": 2. In this sacrament, Christ is not offered up to His Father; nor any real sacrifice made at all for remission of sins of the quick or dead; but only a commemoration of that one offering up of Himself, by Himself, upon the cross, once for all: and a spiritual oblation of all possible praise unto God for the same: so that the Popish sacrifice of the mass (as they call it) is most abominably injurious to Christ’s one, only sacrifice, the alone propitiation for all the sins of His elect. Heb. 9:22, 25-26, 28; 1 Cor. 11:24-26; Matt. 26:26-27; Heb. 7:23-24, 27; Heb. 10:11-12, 14, 18. 5. The outward elements in this sacrament, duly set apart to the uses ordained by Christ, have such relation to Him crucified, as that, truly, yet sacramentally only, they are sometimes called by the name of the things they represent, to wit, the body and blood of Christ; albeit in substance and nature they still remain truly and only bread and wine, as they were before. Matt. 26:26-28; 1 Cor. 11:26-28; Matt. 26:29. 6. That doctrine which maintains a change of the substance of bread and wine into the substance of Christ’s body and blood (commonly called transubstantiation) by consecration of a priest, or by any other way, is repugnant, not to Scripture alone, but even to common sense and reason; overthroweth the nature of the sacrament, and hath been, and is the cause of manifold superstitions; yea, of gross idolatries. Acts 3:21 with 1 Cor. 11:24-26; Luke 24:6, 39.

    do you think Zacharias had Jesus invited into the holy of holy place like backstage? And if so then it would be an interesting occasion, wouldnt it? And isnt it interesting that jews have rules how to interact with the places of the temple even these days. .... 🫸🌻🫷
