I’m around 10 years old, and I’ve been through a lot in my life. For the last 1.395 days, I’ve waited and hoped for someone to see me, to choose me. But I’m still here - still waiting.
I am so incredibly grateful to AdA for taking care of me, but the truth is, I don’t want to spend the rest of my days in a shelter. I don’t want to close my eyes for the last time without ever knowing the warmth of a family, the softness of a cozy bed, or the feeling of being truly loved.
I’m not a fancy breed, and I’m not as beautiful as I once was. I’m just an old soul with a lot of love left to give. My heart is heavy because it seems like nobody wants me - maybe because I’m older, maybe because I’m not perfect. But I promise, if you give me a chance, I’ll be the most loyal and grateful companion you could ever imagine.
I don’t need much, just a little space in your heart and home for my remaining years. I may not have much time left, but I just want to spend it feeling what it’s like to be part of a family.
Please, if you have room in your heart for a senior like me, take me home. I don’t want to leave this world without ever knowing what love feels like.
