Sitting in one place and weeping is helpful, but that does not bring closure nor peace of mind. Past is past. Future is coming. Do something to make this future at peace, happy. Do some Dharma practice and you can bring end to your sufferings. Even small contribution to the world is helpful and nesessary. Share your reaches with poor. Help.

Starting at 1:20: what is told about Pol Pot wanting to rid Cambodia of all intellectuals is horrifying. Ironically, he himself was a schoolteacher for a short while. It was later in France that he became involved in Marxism, but he also failed his electronics exams several times. Consequently, he was expelled from school. This likely caused him to be jealous and hateful of scholars since he himself was an academic failure. He never repented for his actions - what a wicked, immoral loser!

Thank you for sharing these very powerful videos. I often watch Night Line but I missed this one. Like Stalin and Mao, Pol Pot was ignorant and evil. All Khmers must remember to never let this happen again!
