I am struck by how EXACTLY identically us men look at each other in these situations, no matter where in the world it is happening. Look at the woman in the front row - this is always how women behave in this scenario. Over-emoting, covering the mouth, excessively exuberant, fake acting, unnecessarily dramatic. Now look at the men. Quietly watching intently. Very few even smiling at all. Silently admiring the virility and masculinity of the men on stage. Admiring the beauty of male power. Totally different dynamic. Only us men can ever truly understand this look, and we all understand it.

Interesting differences with Western clubs. Things are clearly more tame there, all clothes always stay on, I notice. Touching between men appears to be allowed but is very, very minimal, sterile, modest, clean, safe. The CCP is obviously watching closely, but shrewdly not being too restrictive or repressive. If this were a bar in New York there would absolutely be no clothes. Drugs everywhere. And full penetration on the stage and in the crowd.

I agree with you it is so important to be able to speak with each other. I wish the language was the same around the world. I think it would solve so many problems. In the USA they don’t teach language till you are in high school which is to late. They also only teach German, French and Spanish. Maybe now schools are adding more but it’s not enough. Plus they don’t get much time in school so few really learn it. I wish I had learned other languages when young it makes it easier to learn others as an adult. We have many Chinese friends here there is a big community in California

I personally don’t have an issue with it but I don’t do crimes. I like knowing the area is safe and I don’t have to worry. You couldn’t do that in America people would take the packages and bikes in many cities. What about being robbed in person like someone taking your wallet or jewelry?

I maybe going to Beijing in July and was wondering how hard it would be for a gay American to get around and see these places. I don’t speak the language so worried if it would be hard for me. I also didn’t know how safe it is and I have been told many places don’t except cash or credit cards.
