I had an '83 430. Tractor to be sure, but even with locktite you could watch the chasis bolts unscrew themselves as it sat on the stand idling.

You think Can- AM you immediately think of Jimmy Ellis. Often wondered what the Powerband on one of these machines felt like. Controllable or an Armpump Cowboy?. Regardless, I do know they were Fast. Great post. Vintage is so Awesome,the racing is great,people greater.

Love watching this video brought back so many memories. I had that exact same bike in 1979 ! I raced amateur AMA motocross out on Long Island and just spent every moment I had riding that bike. I even went to watch the pros at Unadilla in 1980 and still have the program with the Can Am MX 5 250 on cover. I got it autographed from many of the stars including Bob Hannah and Roger DeCoster.

Why the enduro tank?

I watched this before and saw other vids with the early euro bikes in action. I've had two huskies, one's gone. Anyway, no one mentions the light weight of these bikes with the chromoly frames. That's what I enjoyed most since I was a porker back in the late 70's/80's.

What gives the county the right to shut a business, is McDonald's Dairy Queen next to many people in the parking lot, drive thru? Ludicrous, overreacting. Do they have lots of ambulance calls? Its racing......Crap Daytona 500 just got shut down , a driver got a hang nail......get a petition started get rid of the county council......
