For New Muslims: How to INFORM FAMILY members on conversion to Islam and how to invite people to ISLAM: My suggestion for anyone who has just become a Muslim: before informing family members of conversion to Islam to print on JUST ONE A4 piece of paper the translation of selected verses of the QUR'AN. Design it well and beautifully. Give to each one of the family members. Ask them such questions as: Are these verses rational and logical? Do you agree with these verses? Are there anything ILLOGICAL in these verses? Etc. Say to them that these are what he/she (the new Muslim) believes to be the word of God. Say to them that these are verses from the QU'RAN. Say to them that she/he has become a Muslim. It's all good except her view about raising kids religion free and allowing them to choose is a bit iffy. If you are certain that Islam is the truth, why would you gamble with your kids future? They will be making their choices when they are adults anyway. If you do not teach them Islam, and if they have not received any guidance from you, they may end up making tragic mistakes before they come to Islam or yet worse, may never come to Islam. The lady is new to Islam and she loves her family. This is all fine, but her situation and family cannot be a model for a muslim family.
