To all the people following me for B7 episodes..... sorry. See Dailymotion www.dailymotion.com/playlist/x6tx7b for full eps. It only lets me upload 3/day so will have all episodes up in the next two weeks.
Having Del Tarrant in series 3 and 4 of B7 was awesome, I strongly suspect the name Del Tarrant was always the intended name for the character played by Steven Pacey and he certainly became a younger man than he was originally intended to be and Tarrant filled the space left by Blake.
I say in some ways Dayna was like the 4th Doctor companion Leela, and she fought hand to hand with Jarvik who eventually died saving her life and redeeming himself and also killed several Sarran warriors too she was no match for the villain Bayban who had met Tarrant offscreen.
Villa was never a coward, he was sensible
Jenna Stannis was so much better early on....
I think the writers forgot she is a commando trained telepath and did not really know what do to with her character
I have always preferred the Anti-hero, a much more interesting character than a hero
This is how a new Doctor Who should be written and played, a no-nonsense tough older man with a cynical attitude but he gets the job done
Still breaks my heart as to how Zen died.
😂
Never seen before. Brilliant 💯
I do say when it came to devising the character of Del Tarrant, despite the fact the name was previously used in B7 in the pilot episode called the Way back with Dev Tarrant it was most likely the case that Del Tarrant was always the intended name for the new male crewmember who joined the crew of Liberator in series C of B7.
Travis was such a punk. Complete clown.
Blake's 7, Dr Who, UFO, and Star Trek, reinforce the notion that poverty enhances artistic creativity. Compare that to today's lavishly budgeted blockbusters with their explosions, special effects, chase scenes, actresses who can not keep their clothes on, pathetic and often woke story lines, and woeful, predictable, dialogue, that nobody except adolescents want to watch.
An upgraded Acorn System 1.
I always liked Jenna. I was and remain particularly fond of that first outfit she wore, and _wasn't_ happy with the replacement outfit (1:30).
There's a scene from the first season, when they teleport onto a ship , where they've all been put to sleep, blake turns on the ventilation grids , one of the switches clearly drops from the prop, as you can hear it , and if you look carefully see it missing in the middle. But they carried on as if nothing happened. Lol
Jenna Stannis (Sally Knyvette) was simply gorgeous, and the actress's modesty makes her more so.
Avon kicked HOLE!
the blonde was hot
The producers of *secret army* .... Made This Amazing story. Morgan's boy *One of the finest* Happy autumn 2024 everyone
Shit for toothpaste
I absolutely loved this show, thanks.
Well she was only part of the best Sci Fi space opera made by British television ever. It even trumps vintage, classic Doctor Who I think.
Who is that at 6:22?
Vila was an awesome character and Mike Keating was an awesome choice for the role, and he was cast having previously appeared in Dr Who story the Sunmakers as Colin Goudry and Michael Keating was shortlisted by JNT to be a possible 7th Doctor after Colin Baker was sadly sacked from the role.
'Gouda Prime' is not a planet - it's a cheese selection on offer at Sainsbury's ..
I think Avon saw through Blake's idealism. Blake was a zealot who was just one step from being an Osama Bin Laden.
Everything on the telly was better back then.
I say to have had Travis killed off and slain in the series A finale Orac, would have been better in billions of ways and in series B arch-enemy and returning arch-villain Servalan who appointed him should have got herself an entirely new henchman with a new name as a replacement for Travis and also series B woud have been done more trade and so would Brian Croucher who was burdened with the horrid task of replacing another actor in an existing role.
I do say by this episode of B7 arch-enemy and recurring arch-villain Servalan herself had been in 4 episodes and when this series of B7 was aired I had hopes there would be another series and I hoped that arch-enemy Servalan herself would return and appear in more than just 4 episodes which she does Servalan is in 8 episodes and she at this time was coming to the fore and getting more and more directly involved in the action and this is the second episode where arch-villain Servalan was gone in a spaceship to a planet like in her second episode Project Avalon and she in that episode was starting to become a bigger character and also becoming more pivotal.
Th shape of the space station XK-72 is rather awful.
I say Mutoid conversion is similar to Cyberconversion in Dr Who when the Cybermen take prisoners, test them for suitability for conversion into Cybermen those who are suitable get turned into Cybermen those who are not suitable get killed off, I suppose with Mutoid modification the same principle applies and to become a Mutoid is like becoming a Cyberman the process is irreversible and Mutoids like humans and or humanoids once converted the lose their identity and forget the people they were close to
I do say most of the mutoids were female and only about three were male, and also the Mutoids in series 4 episode Animals were awful in appearance.
Had a Blake’s 7 dream that I had to keep Vila away from Travis, and get him to the Liberator safely, then for some reason we had to make sure the TARDIS was onboard the Liberator.😂😂
Blakes 7 was a truly unique show. It was shown on my local PBS station in the mid-1980s, which was a bad time in my life. I eagerly looked forward to every episode. There was something uplifting about watching the show.
I do say in B7 out of the 2 arch-enemies and principal villains, Servalan was the better villain and she lasted the entire 4 series I do say Travis really should have been killed off and slain in the final episode of series A Orac and then in series B arch-enemy Servalan should have been given an entirely new henchman with a new name to replace Travis that would have done series B more trade in billions of ways .
Beautiful , lots of happy late 70s memories , Much love to the whole cast too
I like how his delivery here is much softer than the version recorded. I wish the writers had used his age as a part of the plot, rather than desperately try to make him sound older. I know Tarrant was supposed to be older, but if you cast someone based on talent, it would be nice to tailor the script a bit more.
Totally agree, I think Steven would have preferred that as well, as he has often commented in magazines, interviews etc, that he had to put on a ridiculously deep voice for two series! 😂
@@emsiec I do say Steven Pacey playing Del Tarrant for series 3 and 4 of B7, was awesome casting in the role of Tarrant he was younger than he looked at the time he was cast as Del Tarrant he was only aged around either 22/23 years of age I thought when Steven was playing Tarrant he was older say aged late 20s to early 30s and no older than that. I do say the choice of name for Stevens character been Del Tarrant, was awesome and also whether it was the first and only choice of name for this new character we do not know but if either one of both names were originally different and the names were both changed to Del Tarrant we do not know for sure but given that Del Tarrant is the given name for Steven Paceys character in B7 it is canon in the B7 universe.
"That young one. I want him". He's about 50.
"...confirmed!...`'
@0.38 7th planet
Always been my fave character. 👍
Zen it is!
Keating could come back in the remake
Definitely survived the final shootout
I like to think that Blake was secretly MGTOW fam.
That was brilliant 😀 thanks for posting! Some very interesting stories about the making of the series. Loved Blakes 7 and Avon was, of course, my favourite 😄
OMG ! Such lousy music, desperate actors with nothing else on offer, who wants to be remembered as a Blakes 7 character ? almost as bad as Dr Who ?
F*ck Jenna. Introduce Soolin.
When I was a kid I thought Matt Irvine had the best job in the world.
More thanks for sharing this. Kerr Avon will live forever but sadly Paul Darrow won't.
