Debit Card vs. Credit Card Transactions
Want to know the biggest difference between debit and credit transactions?
Debit cards translate right into cash, as do ATM cards; whereas customers can’t withdraw cash from a credit card. Debit cards are “buy now, pay now” while credit cards are “buy now, pay later.” Credit cards are great in a pinch and for customers who are in the process of building up their credit. Debit cards are perfect for those who prefer to work with the money they already have.
As a retailer, you have very little control over whether your customers use credit or debit cards for transactions. What you can control, however, is how much your business pays for credit card processing. Additionally, credit cards give customers the chance to build up their credit score when they make timely payments. With credit cards, customers can maintain or increase their spending limit by making monthly payments. But they’ll still have to pay a monthly interest charge on their credit card balance.
With debit cards, on the other hand, what you see is what you get. Another key difference between debit and credit cards is that you can’t spend past your limit with debit cards.

So what is an invoice? In its simplest form, an invoice (sometimes called a “sales invoice”) records the details of a business transaction. What Is A Chargeback Fee? Here's What It Means, How Much You'll Pay - And What You Should Do Next
มุมมอง 7183 ปีที่แล้ว
A credit card chargeback fee occurs when a cardholder disputes a previous credit card charge, and wants to nullify the sales transaction. Essentially, the customer asks the card-issuing bank to return those funds to the customer’s bank account. When a customer’s card-issuing bank processes their chargeback request, you (the merchant) will likely get dinged with a chargeback fee. So how much do ...

    DOES NOT MATTER WHAT SYSTEM YOU CHOOSE! BUT HOPEFULLY YOU WILL CHOOSE THE BEST COMPETENT ISO--THE ONE THAT ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THEIR PRODUCT AND ONLY DOES PAYMENT PROCESSOR 24/7 (HELP W/TECH ISSUE/FEES CLARIFICATION). AVOID BANK INSTITUTION ISO. THEY ARE 9-5 EMPLOYEES.

    ACH is frustrating for me. I have a credit union, I had a significant cash quantity in there so I created an Amex online savings account and moved the money into there. After a long time I got annoyed with Amex not having a competitive interest rate so I closed that account and moved the money to another bank. The amount exceeded the FDIC insurance so I opened a 2nd one and have been trying to move the money into that one. The goal being to split the amount so each are FDIC insured fully and have a reasonable interest (both are about 5.25%). The problem I get into is each bank has its own arbitrary and usually way too small ACH transfer limits. My credit union only allows up to 10000$ per day. One online bank allows for 25000$/day and limited to 100000$/month. Even when the ACH works, it takes 5 days to even get it to finalize. I keep hearing about "Same day ACH" but it sure doesn't exist in the real world that I can see. Maybe same day ACH is being used for Bank to Bank between banks themselves but not the customers. Is there going to be any trickle down of "same day ach" for normal personal banking accounts? I also suspect it's not going to matter that much as long as banks have these absurdly low transfer limits. Weirdly, I can just write a paper check to myself and postal mail that to one of my online banks and it might be faster than doing 4 or 5 ACH transfers one per day to remain within their limits because they don't have a limit on the paper check.

    • @michaelmejorada12
      @michaelmejorada12 ปีที่แล้ว

      If one gives their routing number and account number to a merchant or individual, it means you are authorizing them to debit your account so no fraud will be committed, but if they got a hold of your account number without your knowledge or authorization then takes money out of your account, then that is a clear fraud.

    Important to point out as a current clover customer. It isn’t as easy to switch processors as she stated. We found another clover processor with a better rate but once your machines are registered to one processor they can’t be switched without buying new equipment, even though my clover machines work fine. Just a heads up, we love the hardware but don’t know if it is worth the price.
