I believe the singed nerfs were quite severe. You can still win out but not as reliable as the comps discussed

Crytt got it right, the comp is still playable from highroll openers but the nerfs affected the comp quite heavily and it’s much easier to bot 4

At that point you just go level 8 and play around the capped board. Don't need to roll at all most of the time except for supporting units

Yes reroll is better in lower econ games since it's easier to stabilize and standard 4-costs comps will have a harder time hitting/capping out.

What about high econ lobbies like portal WW. I mean if you dont get a good opener you just go 8th, isn't a 1 cost rr or 2 cost rr a way to stabilize and go with the lobby's tempo?

Sometimes you are stable on 1-star version of a well constructed board, especially early stage 4-1 to carousel. After carousel you can reevaluate whether to roll back down or wait until 5-1.

Some things to consider on top of what upsetmax suggested - how contested you are initially (scout on neutrals and consider a 4-1 rolldown, or 4-5 if uncontested and healthy but poor) - how contested you will be soon (are your low hp contesters going to donkey roll and steal the last copies of your units) - are you paired on your carries after rolling down / how many units are you looking for that will immediately spike your board - do you have the hp to trade for econ --> doesnt have to be to go 9, can be to roll on 8 after hopefully naturaling a pair or on 4-5 / 5-1

Swain is a more consistent tank and will tank more damage, this is known as a pure tank. Elise is a CC tank , which means she has a bit of a tank kit (heals herself) however she is only used to stun enemy units not actually tank damage

Bluebuff is a tougher slam as there is no great holder early (Lux/zyra is okay), sorcs is the stronger AP lines and doesn’t wants Shojin > bluebuff. Heimer is okay this patch it’s mostly Jayce and rumble that carry the academy sentinel comp however

don’t give up! You will escape emerald one day

Heimer has a tougher time killing Mundo I find, ezreal 2 is a very strong unit and when itemized properly IE LW +1 sometimes can do over 1000 damage per cast. If you have strong frontline already and are lacking damage you can do bluebuff archangel guard breaker on heimer instead of Gunblade

Yes! That is a great scrap tech! Both corki and backline GP belt goes to guard breaker and is great if you already have an IE

Welcome to TFT, of course we prefer to have a less narrow patch but definitely AD > AP. Sorc emblem/artifacts will also bring you to the same power or even higher than twitch but there is no equal

Yes deathblade is so strong right now! Especially on maddie item holder, even Draven can hold it for twitch/corki

Amazing question, this will be in a follow up video as a lot of the comps have different artifacts. The main ones you need to know are any range augment (rapid fire cannon, snipers focus, fish bones) you should be putting on nocturne reroll level 6 4 automata 4 quickstriker with an infinity edge + Giant slayer/deathblade

Shiv is a strong stage 2 slam however AP lines are not as strong as AD lines currently, doesn’t mean shiv is bad you still slam it if you can streak or tempo but it does kill a tear. Morello there are no good holders currently, and spark is okay but solo spark stage 2 dies very quick and then you are fighting down an item

Deathblade newly buffed is very strong and is BIS on both twitch and corki, the strongest AD Carry’s currently in the meta. Shojin + IE only tailors your board toward playing Enforcers or Academy Jayce

Ziggs 2 used to let you go fast 9. Now you have to rely on hitting silco 2 which is much more difficult. Your mid game (stage 3) will also have you bleeding more HP since ziggs isn't as strong anymore

Cyrtt is right! You used to be able to bridge Ziggs 2 to level 9 but can no longer. Additionally buffs to other comps means that untouched comps will be weaker relative to the newly buffed comps.

Yes bluebuff is very good on cait, essentially an insta cast her for her and is stronger than Shojin due to her low mana pool

Double ekko comp is good but you really need a Ambusher +1 to be able to hit 5 Ambusher without relying on Jinx
