Today's special service concludes our special Christmas series and celebrations. it also springboards into a 3-Sunday sermon series entitled, "Every Child Matters."
The Festival of The Holy Innocents remembers the massacre of the innocent baby boys King Herod had ordered in search of the threat to his throne...Jesus Christ. This festival launches us into this sermon series when we remember the children God calls for us to care for, protect, and equip. We look to the Christ Child to find hope as we remember the children who have died, who are lost, who suffer, who live, and who we serve in the love and truth of our Savior and King, Jesus Christ.
Every child matters to God and so...every child matters to us at every stage of development.
TODAY'S FOCUS...
This special service ponders the threats of pride and worry to every child, even to the Christ Child. Though a difficult conversation, it is necessary to address. When we shy away, avoid, or distort the conversation...children suffer. When we look to the Christ Child, we find the strength to bring hope that, "Every child matters because they matter to God who came for them too."
