The Loire valley is quite a beautiful location to see from any perspective; it is home to numerous Chateaus, vineyards, picturesque villages, and the rolling countryside. Avoiding a roadblock, Bolivia, 2011

While approaching La Paz by bus, we encountered a road block in El Alto. Our little tourist bus did an abrupt U-turn and for the next two hours we were off-road in rural Bolivia. If there was a road, it was dirt. Ditches were common, and there was the occasional canyon to circumvent. The uncertainty of finding a way into the city was unrelenting, but our driver was victorious in the end.

Parking in the Fast Sea Ice brought our group onto the continent of Antarctica for the first time... and many of us felt like children yet again. Afterwards we witnessed a large group of Killer (Orca) whale.

What they don't show is that my uncle gets his cheek ripped open by this so called "bird's" razor sharp beak. It required 14 stitches to close and caused myself and other family members to develop a life long hatred for this fucking bastard of the bird world. I now kill them wherever I encounter them. Once while attempting to crush the spine of one of these birds with a lacrosse stick at my son's school, I accidentally struck an 8 year old child causing him to become permanently blind. Fortunately the blindness caused him to be unable to make a positive identification and I ended up getting away with it. That was a close call for sure. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Stayed at San Simian in October, 2017. Daniel has made great improvements since this video was shot. Renovated the cabañas, cleaned up the grounds. It was a perfect escape.

I visited Deception Island when I went to Antarctica to research my suspense novel Deception Island (Wild Rose Press, 2015). I remember all the "parboiled" krill when I went in swimming in that section of water heated by the volcanic activity. www.jbgentoo@aol.com
Another beauty of Nicaragua is Ometepe Island, in the middle of the Great Lake Cocibolga, in Granada. It has two beautiful volcanoes and the land is so productive. Also you'll see Guacalito, a wonder of nature that has had as guests, Morgan Freeman, Catherina Zeta Jones, Michael Douglas and other well known people
Supposedly the Japanese set up a factory to harvest the bull sharks and saw fish out of the lake and a dam in the rio grande is to stop more from entering the lake.. but who knows. . They could have missed a few.. lol. Ive been there.. im from Florida and I'll swim with gators no worries. . But I wouldn't stick my toe in this water..
